Revised info - "Of the nine ballots that were discarded and then recovered, 7 were cast for presidential candidate Donald Trump. Two of the discarded ballots had been resealed inside their appropriate envelopes by Luzerne elections staff prior to recovery by the FBI and the contents of those 2 ballots are unknown."

Definitely shady, but not indicative of mail in ballots or mass mail out ballots.

If the election officials/staff are corrupt there is a much bigger issue than simply how votes are delivered.

I feel like the simple solution is to make manipulation of ballots punishable by life in prison and/or execution. Problem solved, no one should have an issue with it.

With the PA case, it wasn't just that the ballots ended up in the trash, it was that they shouldn't have been opened in the first place. right now, all they're supposed to do is verify the information on the envelope, then store them away until Election day when they're to be opened and counted.

But why were they opened. Seems it's because the ballots were not in the required privacy envelopes and officials confused them for ballot requests therefore opening them.

I never said that. And you know it. The votes were not in the required envelope. Which is the fault of the voter. Or perhaps the fault of the state for not making clear the voting requirements. But nowhere did I even imply it is okay to throw mailed votes in the trash.

I updated the thread with relevant information, and there has since been more evidence this particular instance was not fraud, and you're somehow pissed off about it?
