A divorce would suck a lot less than my younger brothers death @ 23, and my fathers death when I was 14. And those didn't put me through "Hell". I was just sad for a few days, then life went on and I was fine. Now i can crack jokes about it.

Not every woman becomes some vulture when they get divorced. Everyone jumps to the cliche **** when discussing it, but there are normal women out there who are mature about chit, and not just money grubbing sloots.
The ones who get fuked into that chit are the ones who place the superficial above everything else.

It was the house that he put $275k into over 10 years and still had a bunch of stuff in, so he wasn't banking on a half naked dude camping on his couch.

Maybe you are built different, choose better, found someone who didn't require her husband to be pre-CASHMAXXED, and so on. That hasn't been my experience or that of most people I know. I still thinkmostguys, miscers especially, are better off not trying to juggle chainsaws in the first place.

Very true. It isn't even fraud though it is that we make this statistical mistake all the time on practically everything. We treat everything as independent and identically distributed random variables. In this case, we are independent but clearly not identically distributed.

My divorce probability is 100%. It doesn't matter who I find, either I am going to get bored or she is going to get sick of aspects of my personality that I simply will not change. Some people are clearly very happy in marriage. I know I am the sad animal at the zoo that just wants to break out of the cage and run around free in that situation. It does not matter how nice the cage is.

I have 0 intention of getting divorced. Doing so would be my biggest failure, it’s the failure to select the right partner and maintain a healthy loving relationship which is both a great challenge and reward!
