Well, so she thought.

Consider that one can have sex in one's own home, on every square foot of it if one doesn't have kids. Then realize that in having kids, one is willingly surrendering 95% of the space as off limits for sex, swearing, drinking, partying, firearms, flirting, or having any kind of fun. When kids are present, all attention must be devoted to the children. You're not really even supposed to watch a football game, it's all daycare.
For people that say kids are the meaning of life, do any of them consider foster kids? Nope. Never once met a person who was both insistent on raising kids and willing to consider foster kids. So much for the noble job of parenting. It's mostly just pure narcissism in thinking that one's genes are so much more special than everyone else's that you have to have kids to pass them on.
And then there's the nasty way that feeble minded folks excoriate mothers who dare to have sex after they've had kids. I've actually turned down marriage proposals because the dude had kids and I knew that I'd be stuck in a fukkless situation. Moms aren't allowed to have passion.

? A friend of mine has adopted 4 children with his wife, after they learned that neither were very fertile.

Just becauseyouhaven't met someone like that does not mean these people don't exist; your post reeks of bitterness towards women who are parents and great assumptions about their ability to have a good sex life.
