For those who think it is the flu... think of it like this... COVID-19 has been here for a few months and how many people do you know who have died from it? The flu has been here our entire lives... and how many people do you know who have died from the flu? I know several people who have died from COVID-19 now but I can't think of a single person I know of who has died of the flu. The whole idea of tens of thousands of people dying of the flu in the USA is just a ballpark estimate without any real records with flu tests... it's a guess. That's why they said that if they recorded flu deaths the same way they recorded COVID-19 deaths, the USA would only record between 3,000 - 15,000 flu deaths per year. Once the CDC and WHO runs estimates of the COVID-19 deaths, the number will be higher than the current worldwide stats.

From July 1- Sept 30 we had 81K dead and 7.5 million total cases(5 million additional cases from June 30)
We've opened up most of the country and even though more people are getting infected, much less as a % are dying or dying overall. That doesn't mean precautions still shouldn't be taken or encouraged, but having lockdowns are unnecessary.
Lets be honest, we've probably had 50 million infected. We all know people who've had covid but never got tested as the hospitals told them not to come in and ride it out at home unless it becomes very severe. Our sewage tests also show many more people have had it then have been officially diagnosed.
