I’m obviously biased because my brother is gay but I don’t think being gay should be an insult. Like if Matt is into dudes i mean who cares.
One of my friends (who is straight) started hanging out with a guy that was gay. The guy bought him lunch. I made a joke oh what did you have to do to get that free lunch. I felt bad about it and apologized later. People should feel comfortable being who they are and when we stigmatize it we just build walls between people. I can tell you my brother was always different even as a little kid like its obvious he was gonna be gay. I can honestly acknowledge it would take me longer to reach this conclusion if I didn’t have my brother. But yeah i choose not to see being gay or even being called gay as an insult.
