Bro, this is bodybuilding.com

Ya'll keep stumbling over from Knitting 101, and I don't know how you guys keep finding your way here.

But gear use and bodybuilding have a very lengthy history.

There are some people on here that use gear. Its a bodybuilding forum. I still wonder why people act like only ifbb pro's are the only ones that use it.

So is it ok to train on PSF or whatever it’s called?
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

hovering between 680-800 calories so I'm losing about 1300-1500 calories per day

will say that staying hydrated is very important because otherwise i'd stall quite a lot, water weight can be a pain on this diet
I reached a point where I was pretty low BF and >700kcal daily. Pretty much hated myself but I mean you do get used to it.

I agree hydration is incredibly important.

I finished my PSMF with 48 hours of dehydration and then a bottle of wine. Woke up saran wrapped, but feeling like chit

I'm currently recomping at the moment.

How much protein on your end relative to your LBM?

Weird thing is it almost seems like lean meats are slowing down my progress.. seem to lose quicker in the past eating stuff like chicken nuggets and greek yogurt

Im posting a progress pic tomorrow should be interesting.

How long did you do your psmf? Im doing 14 days followed by a large one day refeed then another 8 days or so.
I ran it for three months but I was also on a bike ride at the time. You can push it past Lyle's recommendations, but you have to be prepared for how bad it feels if you do. I know that extended VLCDs have an effect of possibly decreasing test production, but I haven't personally experienced that (I have run ALL of my cuts, pre-gear use and post gear-use on PSMF)... However, on cycle, you just don't really have to worry too much about that kind of thing.

Protein fell ~150-180ish if I was lucky. Straight tuna a lot of days.

"Cheating" on the diet was a bag of quest chips

You may find that the refeed is helpful because you just can't be running PSMF straight through unless you're willing to keep dropping cals into nothingness

^I would say, and this is just a guess, that chicken nuggets introduce a bit of CHO into the diet. The result is that you're sitting there feigning for something else with a bit of CHO.

But that's usually just what happens to me.

Are you using frozen spinach for your 'smoothie'?

Fresh spinach is good raw.
Just a bunch of tasty leaves.

This is a great thread, it helps keep me motivated.

I just hit 46, the worst part, I thought I was turning 45. Somehow a year slipped by me.

I've been trying to add a little size without going full potatoe. I put on around 5lbs since the gyms reopened. Im still only 180 but I do the best I can.

Don't really know my bf% but I'd guess around 12%.

The road ahead is long and full of peril! (I don't know what that even means)

Do or do not, their is no try! (I made this up myself)

I typically drink a glass of water every hour and a bunch of zero calorie gatorade during my evening workouts. Is there a solid way to find out if I’m holding excessive water overnight because of the sodium? I cut water out at 9PM and sleep at midnight. Seem to consistently lose weight in the morning but I just feel it’s slow for a PSMF and most likely due to that sodium in the chicken.
Even if you did hold water, it should be a constant and thus not affecting your average fat loss progress.

Update:

I've been rehabbing my right shoulder, range of motion issues.

I've been doing rack pulls every training session.
I added Farmers Walks, thanks George, into my back routine.

I saw my chiro yesterday and he said my shoulders are looking balanced the best they've looked.

I still can't do much for chest. front delt work is out. The last time I trained delts the right shoulder was aching from too much front delt work.
So only rear delt and side delt work for now.
Chest mostly cable training.

Also today's weight; 177.2
