The accusations here are monumental so if you didn't do it then defending yourself is the only option. It would be like somebody being accused of murder. The accused claims to have tape of somebody else committing the murder but decides to hold on to it because you know...reasons lol

Accusations so monumental that the NYT won't release the actual records. We've just got to take their word for it. I'm sure they are definitely playing it straight.

Imagine my shock when it was "anonymous sources". We have to protect them!

Feel like they should be able to print the documentation, so everyone can look at it, without revealing who gave it to them??

You Know Who Else Didn't Pay His Income Taxes?

https://gizmodo.com/you-know-who-els...xes-1845199738

According to surviving documents, Hitler constantly complained about Germany’s Ministry of Finance, the equivalent to America’s IRS, and didn’t pay substantial sums he owed for his profits on Mein Kampf. Hitler made partial payments until 1934, but after he became chancellor of Germany in 1933, his tax situation as a dictator was obviously going to change.

he literally bragged in 2016 about how little he paid in income taxes and now people are surprised that ended up being true.

I guess you guys thought it was another of his lies

Mark my words, nothing that is going to be reported is going to show any illegal activity at all. They would have pulled this cord already if they had it, he gets audited almost every year.

What is going to happen though is that you will see them try and spin basic accounting practices, which is typical of the industry he is in, and try to use that as an opportunity to attack his abilities as a businessman because average people dont understand these things. Its beyond fake news, its completely manufactured propaganda.

It does not matter where you sit with Trump the politician or Trump the personality, that guy is a beast and anyone who talks about "Daddys money" or "would have made more if they put it into an S&P ETF" is a colossal ****in idiot.
Forbes says you’re out by a factor of seven at least

“It has been a tough year for President Trump. On top of impeachment and the pandemic, his net worth has dropped an estimated $600 million since last September, to $2.5 billion. That puts him at No. 339 on The Forbes 400, down 64 spots from a year ago.”

https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalex.../#6f8c5fbf2363

So pretty pointless writing that all out, don’t you agree?

(Oh and 2.5 billion is for certain a lot less than he inherited in real terms)

His businesses and real estate is also monumentally exposed to covid. He could be made bankrupt in the next couple of years. In Britain politicians have to resign in those circumstances, how does it work over there?

What do you expect from libbys on minimum wage? They have problem differentiating tax avoidance vs tax evasion because tax accounting 101 is too difficult for them.

Guy has been a TREMENDOUS president. He'll get re-elected. I could give a chit less about his taxes. He's given us more through his accomplishments than any pittance that would get wasted by the government.

He’s spent more government money than he’s created in gdp growth. He’s laughed at by the rest of the world. He told you to drink bleach.

No matter what, people always pay as little federal income taxes as legally possible. Most people don't realize that there is an option at the end of the form to pay extra. I'd be curious if there are any published stats on this. Or perhaps there aren't any stats to report because no one in the entire country was that dumb.

Sounds like you started with the conclusion and are back filling with hearsay, and I'm sure you made no effort to consider how much of it turned out to be fake. No point when you've already made up your mind.

You see, a reasonable person would be skeptical that they refuse to publish the actual documents. Skepticism would be reasonable even if there already hadn't been such a terrible track record of "anonymous source" failures by news media. (Remember when Trump was a Russian asset that conspired to steal the election?)

I think Skepticism is fair.

Just like I am skeptical that every other President in 30 years released their returns and this President has not. I am also skeptical when he stated on national television he is "smart" since he pays no taxes.
