Im definitely in the 1911 gang. But as as duty of concealed carry pistol id go glock, the simplicity of operation is second to none in a life or death situation.

Glocks have a great aftermarket which would make them more like the Honda Civic. It's also funny how people love to spew the Glock Perfection line and the only things stock on the gun are the LPK and frame lol

Big guns aren't a big deal for me tbh. A lot of guys were saying the cz97 was too big but it fits my hands just fine. I a USP for the extra 2 in capacity. Can't see myself getting a 9mm anytime soon, don't know what I'd get it in exactly. Maybe a cz75?

CZ75 is an excellent choice. Everyone needs a polymer 9mm though. Glock, M&P, XD just whatever you like the best. Canik is a great choice too but seems to be climbing in price since people started to figure out what a great value they are.

I have one gen 2 Glock and seven gen 3 Glocks.

Moved to Glocks in the late 90s after shooting only 1911s in IPSC for years.

My Glock 34 I use for IDPA must have 70,000+ rounds through it. Nothing done other than new springs (recoil and striker) every 5,000 rounds or so.

A buddy of mine just bought a Canik TP9 Elite Combat for $729.00. He asked me to go with him to the range for his first outing with it.

People like them because they're extremely reliable for a reasonable prize, super customizable with a ton of parts in the aftermarket, and the simple engineering of it is excellent. It revolutionized polymer / striker fired pistols to the point there's a bunch of copycats (Canik, Polymer 80) on the market.

I got the T9SA which is the full size decocker model for $270 about a year ago. I've had 0 problems out of mine after a couple thousand rounds. I have heard some people need different recoil springs when using 115gr stuff. Apparently in the rest of the world all they shoot is 124gr P+. The trigger isn't a 1911 trigger but still feels really good

Like em or not, they are the standard by which all modern polymer pistols are judged. They certainly aren’t junk. We have surpassed the era of quality made all steel/aluminum DA/SA hammer fired pistols, and in the striker fired realm everyone is trying to outdo Glock. The thing is Glock got it right the first time, and they’ve been king ever since they cornered the police and military markets.

I own many of the classics like Beretta 92’s, Sig P series and S&W third gen autos as well as Glocks. Fact of the matter is no one wants those old heavy guns anymore, everything is moving plastic, and Glock is always the first choice because not only is it a high quality piece but it’s the one everybody always hears about.

Too big they say? Sometimes I pretend I’m 80’s Don Johnson and carry this thing around. Not in a shoulder rig though because I’d look like I have a dead third arm growing out of my armpit.
