Businesses are just trying to do the best they can with the policies put in place by authorities while still trying to keep customers happy.
At least they are open.

Asks for science.
Rejects scientific report that goes against his narrative.
OP's intelligence level = autistic.
Dining out is one of the riskiest possible activities during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday, citing the fact that masks are not used while people are eating and drinking.
CDC officials interviewed about 314 people who experienced symptoms of the virus and got tests, about half of whom were positive. Both the positive and the negative subjects said they had engaged in activities such as attending church and in-person shopping.
However, people who tested positive were about twice as likely than those who tested negative to say they had dined at a restaurant. People who tested positive but could not identify a specific occasion when they were exposed to the virus were also more likely to have recently visited a bar or coffee shop.

As to your change of subject (which I quoted), the report doesn't state whether the people interviewed joined the200,000+ Americans who have died of Covid-19.
It is just trying to inform people like you ofcommon sense- being in an environment where people have their mask off increases the risk of getting Covid-19.
Please keep yourassumptions to yourself OP.

Had some people who I’ve known awhile come in for dinner. Went to say hi to the table and the guy literally butt scooted/hopped to the far side of the booth and almost banged his head against the wall trying to make space between me and him
“Sorry this is the second time we have eaten out since coronavirus”
I’m like “good to see you !”
Then he proceeds to tell me how much of a hermit he has been and asks me what I’ve been doing.
“Pretty much everything I was before except I can’t shower at the gym”
I don’t understand these people living like hermits for months and months.
It’s fukking scientific fact this chit is pretty much the same as a flu that spreads easy, fukking sheep really gonna change how they live their lives over this.... it’s mindboggling

Material and methods
455 contacts who were exposed to the asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carrier became the subjects of our research. They were divided into three groups: 35 patients, 196 family members and 224 hospital staffs. We extracted their epidemiological information, clinical records, auxiliary examination results and therapeutic schedules.
Results
The median contact time for patients was four days and that for family members was five days. Cardiovascular disease accounted for 25% among original diseases of patients. Apart from hospital staffs, both patients and family members were isolated medically. During the quarantine, seven patients plus one family member appeared new respiratory symptoms, where fever was the most common one. The blood counts in most contacts were within a normal range. All CT images showed no sign of COVID-19 infection. No severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections was detected in 455 contacts by nucleic acid test.
Conclusion
In summary, all the 455 contacts were excluded from SARS-CoV-2 infection and we conclude that the infectivity of some asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 carriers might be weak.

They're clearly trying to mitigate risks while staying open, it ain't rocket surgery. The risk here would be that standing = you are likely getting ready to move around, interact with other randoms, etc. If you're seated at a table that is properly spaced from other tables, the only people at risk are those at your table. And you obviously already assumed those risks since you decided to hit a restaurant together.

Neither of you are addressing the question in the OP, yet declaring victory for some reason.
I have no problem accepting a scientific study posted by theRED saying asymptomatics have a negligible spread of Covid-19. I only glanced at what he posted because it doesn't address the restaurant question asked in the OP. My scientific reportspecifically addresses the OP.
Surprise surprise that a RED lacks reading comprehension.
Please tell me you guys are not this stupid.
Reading Comprehension. Not even once.
