No Character. No history. No scenery. Cheaply made new construction houses.

Just lmao if you don't live in a neighborhood like this

Why even live if you're in a boring low crime suburb when you could be enjoying the vibrancy and delicious food of an authentic neighborhood

GF and I took one look at a new suburb development as we were home shopping. I very quickly lost interest.

Pipsqueak sized yards, shoved up right next against your neighbor. And like you said, every house is identical. The whole point of moving for me is to get out of apartment living and have my own "space", if my home was that phuckin close to my neighbors I'd just feel like I was in a big ass apartment.

Edit: The homes OP posted actually look much more spaceous and like they have more room between them than the chit I looked at.

But muh kebabs!!!!!

I prefer rural living myself but I'll take a suburb 10 times out of 10 over an apt complex in the city

US population was less than half of the current population when neighborhoods OP prefers were built. Where tf do you expect people to live?

Jokes on OP. I live in a new build development surrounded by an older neighborhood. Best of both worlds.

A tornado comes through and destroys cheap new construction easy. If I ever have a house built it'll be real brick.

LOL...tornadoes blow through brick buildings just as easily. Unless your walls are solid concrete you're off to Kansas with the rest of the rednecks.

I'm from the rural midwest, I've seen it first hand, so I ain't mad at all. All it takes is one bad mortar joint to lose a brick and with 150 MPH winds it's game over. Even if by chance the walls don't get knocked down the roof is surly coming off.

This chit makes me LOL. People paying a premium to take on all the troubles of a single-family home without any of the perks because they jammed them into postage-stamp lots. Who's that for, your Instagram? BRB, watching your neighbor's TV out your living room window. If you can't afford a decent lot just spare yourself the trouble and go condo.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Where I live its the boomers moving into these yardless houses on top of each other. My mother in law was looking at buying one a while a back and I asked her why since I feel the same as you about it. She told me that she wants one like that because its less yard maintenance. Still doesn't make sense to me but that's what she said. Also where I live these houses aren't any cheaper than the ones on a half acre lot.
