Eyeglass companies are complete wallet hacks

Broke my metal frame hinge, looking at everywhere website for new frames. I discovered some company named Luxottica owns all the expensive brands and no longer makes my frames. Hmm.... I wonder why. So now I'm walking around with a taped arm.

That's what I get for buying expensive Gucci that cost $40 to make. LOL at my retardation. I did get a compliment from some sloot.

Lens.com for contacts and Zennioptical.com for glasses. When I found these 2 I got really angry at how bad I had been ripped off all these years.

I have no idea about a warranty. My $12 dollar pair from Zenni feel just as quality as the $150 pair from the eye doctor

How long did it take you to get your prescription glasses? Thinking I'll just call my eye doc and ask for my prescription even though they said it's outdated

Can confirm. Even the cheap arse no name metal frames are like $90. Anything name brand is easily $200+. Only reason they can get away with charging so much is because insurance pays for a large percentage or all for most people. If it was up to the free market no way in HELL would they cost what they cost.

Yes and the actual optics are owned by another monopoly called Essilor so you're phucked with the frame and with the glasses themselves
