I’m 6’2” 220 and there’s a difference. You can notice a difference in balance and swinging the gun for sure. I have BCM uppers with 16” and 14.5” ELW barrels. And 13 vs 15” rails adds to that. No reason not to go 14.5 IMO unless you want to swap muzzle devices around.

Right, add a suppressor on top of it and every inch you can save starts to become a seriously big deal.

There is a difference. 14.5 feels much better to me.

Also I’ve read the BCM ELW barrels have poor accuracy ?

This woman was really lucky the timing wasn't a little different. If she moved 1-2 seconds later I wouldn't have been able/willing to top and avoid as I did, her car was much smaller than my truck and she had two younger kids in there too.

I'm pretty sure this is the key ^. I'm pretty sure the 14.5 pinned vs 16 is an over played modern social media induced hyped up thing, BUT if you are not only making the overall length an inch or so shorter but also bringing the weight of that can out front in an inch...that matters. Yeah the shorter OAL is more handy but the way ithandleswith that out-front weight one inch closer is a big deal

thanks for asking!

After a month back in the gym, strength is coming back very nicely from being stuck at home using resistance bands and 35lb dumbbells

hit a 5 plate deadlift a few days ago, and just today, did a 315 squat, felt pretty good. Tried 365, and had to roll it off. Very pleased with how quickly strength is coming back. OHP is still 1 plate + which is nice, always struggled with bench, so using dumbbells on them. did 75lbs for 5x8. Not impressive by any means compared to the rest of the lifts for my bw, 175, but am again impressed with how quickly i'm progressing.

inb4 plateau....

Lol we did a weight loss challenge at work, $50 buy in, winner gets $700, second place is $100, third $50; goes off of percentage lost.

I entered since even losing just 10 pounds pretty much wins it for me. Final weigh in today, I lost 15 pounds (on my scale at home) work scale put me at 180, so assuming it keeps to 15 lost that is 8.3% lost. Everyone else gave up except one other guy, he started at 340 and is down to about 310, so he will win, but I'm cool losing to that since he did work hard at it.

$700 would have been nice but ah well, I didn't try as hard as I could have.

Mostly water weight but fck it, $100 is $100.

I was betting everyone else would lose more than myself winning; pretty good bet to make.

I've always figured that if I ever work in an office where people do those weight things I'd have a good shot at winning by actual dieting down combined with the 2 liter of diet cola and a bag of super salty pretzels and hyper water loading for the weigh in and competitive sports weight in style water weight cut at the end.

I would have done that but it was a spontaneous thing we did, so no chance to water up.

Unrelated to guns, the 6k pounds of artificial mulch is coming the 9th or 10th, originally was supposed to be the following week.

Hope it gets here Friday, I work all day Saturday (also Friday night) so I can get it done the day it gets here. Figure I can knock it out in 2-3 hours.

Na. They are fine. They aren’t stainless barrels. They aren’t as accurate as a Daniel Defense barrel but for a LW chromed lined 5.56 chambered barrel they work well.

Think the difference would matter? A solid hit from a slug is easily fatal, or are you hoping to kill them twice?
