Ok, what happens when people submit? What could come after masks? Do you need a seasonal covid vaccine to go to school and renew your driver's license? Will there be a database established for vaccinated individuals, with door to door mandatory vaccine crews?

Sure, perhaps this is all for the greater good, and everyone will live happily ever after, but now the government has been given all this power and WILL abuse it in the future, in due time. The same argument can be made for increasing funding for police for the "War on Drugs". They have become the "standing army" which the Founding Fathers warned us about. Yes, police are great at keeping the community safe, and it's for the greater good, but all it takes is for some tyranny to fester and let them loose on the population. People say this would never happen, but just look at Katrina, when the National Guard and police went door to door forcibly disarming people.

i think people who don't want to mask just don't care about the virus. including myself. but i wear it when it's mandatory without complaint.

Quite literally nothing to do with the mask. My issue is that the permanent changes that we end up with coming out of this will be disproportionate to the dangers the future brings.
