PREMIER LEAGUE brahs - what team should I back (SRS)
^title
I enjoy the world cup and feel like I'd enjoy watching soccer while it's on, especially now that you can watch Premier League free in the U.S. on Peacock.
I'm a lifelong Cubs fan so I'm well comfortable with supporting an underdog if they've got heart. Would be nice if a team had a few big personalities I could latch onto since I don't know any of the players at this point.
Make your case boyos cheers.

I started following Leeds about 2 years ago and watched them crush the championship. Mainly followed them because I'm from a US town that shares the same name. They tied man city today. Absolute units

OP, look at Tottenham. They're a pretty good team that's been knocking on the championship door for a few years but haven't quite gotten there. They have a great manager in Mourinho and some amazing talent in Son and Kane (one of the top performing strikers in the league over the last few years), and to top it all off they just got their golden boy, Gareth Bale, back from Real Madrid. It's a 'prodigal son' type of situation since he was by far Tottenham's best player when he left to go to the Yankees of soccer and win like four UCLs (the top club trophy). He would have gone down as Tottenham's GOAT had he stayed, instead he played second/third fiddle at RM.

The big 4 most people support are Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal (my team), and Liverpool. Now Man City is up there because a decade ago their new owner brought in tons of oil money to buy pretty much any player they want so they are one of the best teams yearly now. Tottenham is the other major team. They are always a good team and on the cusp of placing somewhat high but usually behind the big 5. They just got back their best player they sold to real madrid about 6 years ago, so he could spark up a run for them.
If you want to be more underdog supporter, Leeds United is a good choice. They just got promoted from the division lower and are doing pretty well. Another team is Everton. They are usually a middle of the table team but have a solid team this year and are looking to finish pretty high IMO.

Everton looking juicy under Ancelotti this season. They've had a perfect start and lead the table.
They're up against Liverpool next in the derby. See if they can hang with the big boys.

Everton
We haven't won fuk all for decades but we have currently won all of our games this season and to be frank it is the most exciting time to be an Evertonian in recent memory

How do you just randomly support a team based on what some dudes online say? Generally you'd just start watching without a preference then over time you'd start becoming a fan of a certain team.

At least give him a chance to support a team that may do well. But yes, he really should just watch games with these teams and pick his own based on preference.

I've only been watching the Premier League for 2 years and for some reason hate Liverpool and Manchester United. Might be the red kits, I don't know.
I mainly like watching teams like Leicester, Tottenham, and Wolves.

Man Utd. Goat history, lot of young but experienced talent on the team, play some of the most exciting football at times (they're coming unto their own), the last few years having been bery good, but they're the goat English team.
If you're American I can't blame you following Chelsea because Pulisic is there and he's awesome. One of the OG oil clubs though so in reality they're *******s.

Now people seem to have forgotten all about that and they get treated like a regular team.

It's cool to hear to hear why people like or dislike a team, no intention to simply back a club because the misc said so.

Obviously yo don't have to support anyone. You can just enjoy the games, if something picking one team in every match... I think we all do it subconsciously.
But if you to, support the team you identify with... watch them a bit, how they play and who they got on the squad, their history, fan base, stadium, kits, etc.

If you want an underdog, choose Leeds or Crystal Palace. Leeds are a much bigger club and have returned to the Prem after a number of years wandering the desert. Palace are a side that wins and loses some.
If you want a team that looks exciting right now, Everton are a good shout.
Leicester are another team.
Don’t choose Tottenham, Man United, Chelsea or Man City. Tottenham are a Mourinho side so they’re boring and whine all the time and the others spend stupid amounts of money but still get mogged by Liverpool.
Liverpool would be the glory hunter’s team. Really fun to watch but boring to follow as they win nearly every game.
Overall, I’d choose Leeds, Leicester or Everton if I was you.

I don´t watch football anymore, but Manchester City has always struck me as an ALPHA team. All the BETA sheep support Liverpool, just saying. Manchester United is also a BETA team now. Many players and the coach is a pussy
Arsenal is also pretty alpha imo.
