Misc. On Sundays I generally watch a movie in the morning. Sunday’s are my rest day and I try to get at least one movie in before the fam wakes.
I love martial arts films and it’s usually martial arts films. Mostly old samurai flicks.
Right now i’m working through Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman. I loved these movies as a kid. They are an amazing blend of humor, drama and action. I highly recommend them.

And this is an American remake (1989) of that Japanese classic with Rutger Hauer starring.

I love them both. The point is the hero is supposed to be blind and the actor should have acted like blind.

The point totally forgotten in the later Japanese films.

The remake definitely lost the magic of the original. It was fun, but it wasn’t Zatoichi.
