i read that article yesterday. i liked what he said here -

Lee says, “I don't really regret anything. That's life, man. You do stuff and you do stupid s*** and you go, ‘OK, well, that hurt. I'm not gonna do that again.’ I think all those things are put in front of me for a reason, to make me a better person. So, no regrets here.”

Lee, like his hard-partying bandmates and many of his ‘80s metal peers, has a history of substance abuse and reckless behavior. But as he turns 58 this Saturday, he’s in remarkably good shape, considering everything he has put his body through since forming Motley Crüe almost 40 years ago. Lee is as amazed by his clean bill of health as his doctor was after a recent medical check-up. “[The physician] was like, ‘Dude, I don't know what the deal is with you, but your liver is fine. You're super-healthy. Like, f***, what are you made of?’” Lee chuckles. “I was like, ‘Did you get my papers mixed up with another guy with the last name Lee?’”

That’s 160 standard drinks. That’s like 16000 calories. I’ll eat my own balls if that’s true.
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

The interesting thing is a lot of older people for some reason think a handle is a gallon, it kinds of looks like a gallon I guess, especially if it's glass, but it clearly isn't. It's 1.75 liters and a gallon is 3.98 liters (I think... it's close) so it isn't even a half gallon. I've had numerous older people that are 40ish+ claim it's a gallon, I've told them it's more like a half gallon, and for whatever reason they get unnecessarily defensive that it is a gallon and it's not worth debating. He was likely referring to drinking two handles a day, which still isn't possible to sustain over an extended period of time.

For whatever reason, some addicts, especially those early on in the rehab process have this complex where they exaggerate their use, or they claim an amount they had one time was their usage. There are usually a lot of complexes being held by people that go to rehab, for whatever reason one seems to be "everyone else here is bad, but bro you have no idea how bad MYaddiction was".

Is it possible that there was an instance where he started drinking in the morning drank a handle, passed out, woke up at 8pm, drank another handle, and in a 24 hour period drank 2 handles? Yes. Is it possible that he was consistently drinking 2 handles every 24 hour period? Absolutely not. Even with a more efficient liver which commonly occurs with alcoholics, it could not have scientifically been handling that cumulatively over an extended period of time.

He's either a liar, or he's stupid and thinks 1 bottle = 1 gallon
