Cause bodybuilding is anti social in itself. You have to play a sport to increase social skills

I've never been stereotyped into anything and if I had, wouldn't give a single f**k about it.

Yeah I find ex athletes who just continue working out after they stop playing their sport to be way cooler than bodybuilders who didn’t play sports

Because most of them, especially miscers, think that it’s only looks that attracts the girl. I feel like I’ve always been a good looking guy, so i did get lucky a bit back in the day. But i could of got laid so much more if i had game. Now i do, and it makes a world of difference.

Now i actually enjoy when people stereotype me. It gives me a chance to prove them wrong. I love the look on their face when they see i have a damn good sense of humor, and that i’m not super toolish like the stereotype goes. Or like i used to be. I would always look for external validation instead of finding it from within.

MOST (not all) people who bodybuild have confidence issues. Rather than seeing their body as something to be improved they see it as flawed and needed remediation. This is symptomatic of a greater psychological issue which is an inferiority complex.

I also seriously think after a certain point of putting on enough muscle the amount of blood flow and calorie % going to the brain significantly decreased and you lose intelligence.

Lifting autism

Lifting is a very self centered, narcissistic, obsessive hobby and most people let it consume them. A lot of people eventually lose their personality because of this. Then there is body dysmorphia and weird mannerisms lifters use that normal people don't have.

I noticed bodybuilding becoming an antisocial hobby even if you’re lifting with 20 people nearby. The sociable old guy is considered creepy but back in the 90s/2000s people talked in the gym. Now everyone’s got headphones on and go in their own little world. So now you got a bunch of guys that are buff but socially retarded.

This is the one reason I am okay with having been fat and not lifting until later in life. Had to have a personality to be liked. Now even if I focus more on lifting, it doesn’t hurt me socially.

Instead of lifting weights, most "bodybuilders" should learn to lift their spirits.

It depends on how hardcore about it they are. It's usually hard to be interesting to many people outside of the hobby itself if you obsess over the gym, supplements/protein intake, and eating chicken and broc*oli all the time. No different than any other obsession, really.

A lot of hardcore bodybuilders also tend to be narcissistic. Not many people are particularly drawn to people who are all about themselves and a overly obsessive hobby or two.

To be fair, I find most people in general to be pretty boring. Most people are terrible at making conversation about anything beyond small talk bs or their own obsessive hobbies. Hobbies are good, but I'm no more interested in hearing a couple of blokes rail on about things like hunting, fishing, pickup trucks, etc. for hours on end than I am hearing a hardcore obsessive bodybuilder talk about the gym and dieting.

Pretty accurate, once I became comfortable with my body I stopped giving a chit about bodybuilding.

That's another thing about bodybuilding, is that it doesn't actually require any specific skill at all. You show up, and push weight, just like every other time. It's easy as **** and anyone can do it, you don't build a personality through it or anything of that sort.
There and back again twice, a deep red's tale.

What’s the point of running a billionaire dollar company if you can just get cucked by Phil Heath or Ronnie Coleman whenever

People with body image issues and self-confidence issues. It's also an individually practiced hobby/sport, which means they don't have to talk to anyone.

Women are the same way. If you want to meet a girl with serious self-confidence problems, find a bikini competitor. And they have zero personality.
