The scamdemic has got me down, boyos
Graduated in May. My apartment lease ended in July, moved back home. I had a job offer that was rescinded (in a different state, I was really looking forward to moving south). Now, I can't find jack **** other than these stupid "$70 an hour work from home opportunity!" type scams, etc. Had a couple of interviews, no luck. Most of these places turn you down before even getting a first interview. I think I'm running into a roadblock where, for entry-level positions I qualify for, there are others with experience applying and therefore I'm weeded out immediately since I have no experience. At the same time, I've applied for some things that I'm overqualified for (i.e. only HS diploma required) and I'm assuming they're not crazy about hiring somebody who is overqualified, because that candidate will likely leave the moment something better comes along. And of course everything else requires experience lol
Don't even get me started on these places that have you go through an hour long questionnaire only to ghost you *cough*BankofAmerica*cough*
It's getting me down boys, I know many people are suffering this year, but man it's tough to stay optimistic
Dear diary

The job market has been like that for a while, even before the pandemic. Basically no one gives a chit about your piece of paper, they only care about work experience and connections. So if you have neither, then you have to take whatever chitty job you can get and work your way up from there
