The healthcare system is one of the most fuked parts about the US. Not sure what can be done about this though. At least we do have quality healthcare service, just fuked costs

Healthcare costs before Obamacare were significantly lower, no penalty for not having healthcare.

Many companies eliminated grandfather plans after healthcare in the country was updated under Obama to meet new guidelines so a lot of people had to switch to more expensive insurance.

You know why that is? Because insurance companies were no longer allowed to deny coverage or exorbitantly charge for having pre-existing conditions so they spread out the costs to everyone. When your business model relies on providing as little service as possible to generate profit, that screams scam, but a lot of Americans think that's OK for some reason.

That's what insurance is. Are you this retarded? Apply that logic to car insurance. Should someone who takes care of their car and maintains a clean driving record pay the same or similar to someone who has multiple speeding tickets, multiple accidents, and can't drive properly?

Now let's look at health insurance. Why am I getting fukked over for taking care of my body, being healthy and rarely getting sick, while suddenly Becky who is 112lbs overweight, has IBS and type 2 diabetes at the age of 30, and is constantly raping the insurance company because she can't live a healthy life by her own doing?

The problem is that insurance companies dominant local and state sectors. There's little competition so you're either with AT&T or ComEd (This is a like comparison) in IL. Now, our healthcare system was never "good" in the sense that the lobbying and the control of the healthcare system is 100% by Big Fat Pharma, but it wasn't horrible either. Take Obamacare then and completely incinerate the entire model and idea of insurance, take chit on it, and then throw it back to the public. Don't like it? Take a penalty. The entire goal of Obamacare was to implode the insurance companies to make them look bad via Facism 101 (Keep private entities but government tells them what to do), which drove up prices to absurd levels. Then they figured Hillary would take office and show how the insurance companies are the issue (not big pharma) and that's when "Universal Healthcare" comes in and the government takes control and destroys healthcare forever. We all know how well government run entities are.

Basically I can't see what we could do at this point. We have to privatize it and create more competition to lower costs, but big pharma has a clamp on our healthcare systems balls. Universal Healthcare means I'm paying for people via my income to have zero repercussions for being fat unhealthy slobs and overdosing.

What a time to be alive.
