We always hear about boomers and millenials but what about gen xers? Do they not know how to use the internet or are they still chain smoking at dive bars listening to hair metal? Where are they? Starting to think they dont exist. Do I need to blast some whitesnake to get them to leave their trailer park?

Nah, some of these young people are just too stupid to know that the people they’re calling Boomers are actually Gen X’ers.

I get along with Gen X, probably because I’m an older millennial. I grew up on 90s music/shows/movies, and had a lot of older friends (mostly through my brother) who would show me 80s stuff (and classic music/movies) all the time. The internet wasn’t a big part of my life until I was midway through college.

Didn't Generation X bring us grunge and Fred Durst? Not sure how I feel about this.
Can't speak for the whole generation. I'm a old millennial, and the guys that were 5 years older than me growing up spent way too much time trying to act "hard". It was an extremely try-hard era. People were friendly as long as you also put up the "cool guy" act, otherwise they were making fun of you. It was pretty pathetic tbh. A lot of those guys ended up never growing up.
Basically everyone always had this look on their face:

It was obnoxious.

Last time I posted/made contact with humans through an internet forum was over ten years ago. It was on some survival/patriot forums which seemed to have disappeared. The reason I haven't used the internet for social contact is because I'd rather talk to humans in person. If it wasn't for corona, I would not have stumbled lurking here and elsewhere. So, yeah, little behind the tech-savvy era, but old school living still works for me in the real world. Different strokes for different folks.
Cheers!

We go unnoticed because we don't feel the need to tell everyone how great our generation is every five minutes like Boomers do.
