To those who blame 200k corona deaths on trump...

do you, honestly, believe that if biden was in charge we would have 0 deaths? It is mind boggling to me how the liberal media is trying to pin every single last death on one man. is the media behind this or are every day liberals that stupid?

Show me one place that argued it was all or nothing. Its not 200k dead or 0 dead. Strong strawman though.

I'm not a Biden guy by any stretch, but the argument is not that it would be zero. Just that it would likely be less. I don't understand why you brahs try to exaggerate everything that's going on to absurdity, but perhaps if I did, I'd be just as upset and incredulous about everything all the time too.

That being said, I really don't know what the outcome would have been under a different president so I do not make any prescriptions. I can only say that our president handled this in a way differently than other nations. The direct result is that we performed worse than some other countries.

Just last night harris said if you lost a family member, blame trump. Pretty sure biden eluded to same thing. this implies every single death is on him.

I genuine believe that it would be 0 because there would be no need for satan worshiping demoncrats to conjure up the virus in the first place as a weak attempt to dethrone our god emperor. If it were any weaker man in power we would have had 20 million deaths.

That's what I get from it. If it were 50k deaths, they'd still come after him. It's like they expect this perfect scenario where no one dies.

Trump gave power to the states to enforce what mandates/restrictions they deemed fit. That was the right move. A state like Montana or North Dakota absolutely does not need to have the same mandates as somewhere like NY, Jersey or Florida.

All blame on Trump - zero on the states like NY, PA or NJ who basically pushed COVID+ patients into nursing homes.

Let's not forget the actual death count from Covid was only around 10k.

To be perfectly fair, it's not like the POTUS position doesn't come with the heavy weight of being blamed for everything.

It would be a lot lower if he shut down the borders completely in 2017 like we voted for.

It's a lose/lose scenario. For all we know, he did take the best course of action, but it's impossible to know because anything related to Trump is always portrayed as the worst thing ever.

Trump had his turn and nearly ran us into the ground.

Under Biden:
Do I believe we'd have 0 deaths? No.

Do I believe we'd have less deaths, and a clear plan to tackle the virus? Yes.

It's all about optics and which candidate has a plan to beat this. Biden does.

Agree to disagree - Woodword, Trump's recent diagnosis, constant flipflopping, pushing questionable remedies with zero scientific consultation beforehand, promising miracles, etc. Describing COVID-19 "as a blessing from God."

He's a charlatan

this. the numbers aren't even real, so why argue over them? it's disingenuous and intellectually dishonest to go around talking about muh 200k.

and yes, the rhetoric is 200k. that's the number the media uses. it really is all or nothing, because that is the number they tack onto the administration. and anything less is, as i said, intellectually dishonest. "but it could be less!!" no, just no.

Leadership matters. If Trump advocated wearing a mask, many more would believe and follow him.

i think the real question is, do people really believe 200k people died from Covid? Or died with Covid with inflated numbers. I bet the actual deaths is a fraction of that number. And do people really believe that USA has the most cases in the entire world? Like do people use any critical thought on this stuff?

They're the same people that blame Trump for their own shortcomings and struggles.

Fired from work? It was Trumps fault not because you're lazy and come in late
Milk went sour? Phucking Donald
No Hinge matches? Trump rigged the app

It's popular to blame him for everything

States had the power. He gave the states what they needed. Even the Dem governors like Cuomo and Newsome said Trump gave them the ventilators and PPE. Not sure what else he was supposed to do?

It probably didn’t help that he was opposing masks for so long but I don’t know what else he did wrong
Horny.

If anything would it have not been MORE with Biden!?! He was against closing the border to China when Trump did. Going as far as calling him a RACIST.

Has everyone forgotten about this? Joe Biden wearing a mask everywhere is straight political play, I gaurentee you the second he knows the cameras are off he will be ripping that fcucking thing off.

Being:
(1) lockdown [inevitable];
(2) masking [inevitable];
(3) investment in health care/bolstered of health care legislation to prevent Americans from being caught out with no recourse;
(4) firm fiscal policy re: stimulus rather than this partisan chicanery going on presently and causing the market to rise and fall like a theme park rollercoaster;
(5) reliance on scientific experts who know wtf they're talking about -- not propping up hedge wizards as "leading doctors" like that lady pushing Hydrochloroquine.

I mean, I can keep going. But just these examples alone lay bare Trump's failings in handling this crisis and he's fully responsible for the festering herpes sore that is the GOP brass infection case count....

As well as the 210k+ dead Americans and counting.

But if we act united and now, we can succeed at preventing further deaths due to this.

The only argument would make sense is that the Coronavirus is indeed a created virus in a lab and that the only reason why it spread here was because of their bad international relationship and thus they just spread it on here. Meaning that if Trump was not the President, they wouldn't spread it here.

Of course it doesn't make that much sense given that it's a world pandemic, not a country one.

You had better stop noticing things before someone calls you a racist and posts that picture of Biden in sunglasses again.

Not really an issue -- COVID-19 was ripping through the USA as early as January.
The spark that started the U.S. coronavirus epidemic arrived during a three-week window from mid-January to early February, before the nation halted travel from China, according to the most comprehensive federal study to date of when the virus began spreading.

That means anyone in the U.S. who thought they had the virus in December or early January probably had the flu, public health researchers said.

Don't dismiss the fact that even if we did everything identical (rules) as other countries the outcomes would be different. Americans don't follow rules well. States differ and so do our subcultures.

Surely the controversial travel ban must have spread the China virus somehow. And Trump's cavalier attitude must have weakened our immune systems.

To your point, regardless of how a single President handled this, those comparable other nations were likely not extremely obese and had 2.4 co-morbid conditions that are not counted as the real cause of these 200k "covid" deaths.
