on the one hand, the only thing needed for salvation is a belief in Jesus:

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Acts 2:21

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9"


the Bible also says that we are all sinners and deserving of hell, so there's no way salvation is based on living a sin free life as that is impossible:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Roman 3:23"


but Paul says this about sinning deliberately:

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26"


so in short I don't know. I have definitely cut back on my promiscuity and try to keep sex only to girls I like and can potentially see a future with, but even this is technically a sin. part of me wants to believe that God gives some allowance to us in these times, since people are holding off on marriage for a long time and I dont think God wants you to be a lonely virgin for 30 years
