For real. I would love to see someone form a half coherent argument about why JP isn't a role model and positive influence on society these days. The best I can imagine anyone doing is attacking the religious foundation of his lectures, but frankly, even this wouldn't go far since he always admits that these stories aren't 'factual,' they're just the longest existing stories we have.

Literally millions of people understood what he was saying.

He would use strange words and phrase things in unusual ways at times, but so what, lol?

Hopefully he gets better and comes back with some wisdom about how he got through it all. Great speaker. Not sure why people complain about him using unusual words or say he is a fence sitter. He has clearly stated his opinion on many modern issues such as feminism, marxism, and censorship.

Claims to be against SJWs/anti-white rhetoric and then tells white people to not embrace/be proud of their heritage. Claims to hate identity politics and collectivization & then advocates it for Jews. Claims to be counter culture and actually worked for the UN. Need I go on?

God is an intensely personal idea. What you might call word salad, is actually an honest attempt to answer a question that is almost impossible to answer. Your conception of God, and mine aren't the same..

He quotes the bible constantly, someone asked him if he was a Christian and if he believed Jesus was the messiah. He tossed a word salad. I personally am not a Christian but still.

Yes but still... define God. What is it?

Someone asked him a more precise question: Do you believe Jesus' body resurrected from the dead. His answer: I don't know. Being agnostic on that is a perfectly logical position.

He doesn't share many personal stances. Which is probably why people appreciate him, he's not telling anyone what to think. He's just giving them better tools for figuring stuff out themselves.

I admire him, I believe he's intelligent and well-meaning. I have a very short list of questions (2 or 3) I would ask him if I ever got the opportunity - and they are relatively personal, because with all his knowledge and experience with people, he doesn't really talk about what it means to him.

He's extremely learned and knowledgeable. It was a great thing that he became so famous since most of the people most-respected in our society are idiot celebrities. I don't know why anyone acts as if him having some personal struggles reveals he was a fraud the whole time. Everyone has times of struggle.

Pretty obvious OP doesn't care...

He wants simple answers to complex questions. As an atheist I find his take on Religious books refreshing.

They were foundational documents for a large portion of history and throwing away everything because the literal interpretation is trash seems a waste.

He wasnt doing chit right. He's a preacher, and like most preachers, he doesnt practice what he says. Dude got rich af saying vague, self help bullchit with the caveat that he's smarter than your average bullchitter.

His actual lectures that contained Jungian prespectives and spke about the value of archetypical stories...that chit was interesting. When he swerved to make himself some money on that self help tip...thats when he became a bullchitter. Like i said, i dont mind the hustle, but it was the same self help bullchit that females read
