You will almost always have to initiate the first engaging conversation online - just like in real life. If they're interested they'll engage back.

If you unwilling to put in the few minutes it takes to do so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Had a date last night with somebody who i matched with and actually used to work with. Went to a little bar restaurant had drinks and ate something. We were there for about 3-4 hours so I'd say it went decent. Walked her back to her car and she said lets do it again but no hug or anything. I'll still reach out and try to plan a second date. I'm not into games so I'm not gonna wait until she reaches out or wait 3 days. If she actually had a good time she will want to go out again. It honestly just felt good to go out on a date since I haven't really been on one in awhile.

No kiss isn't a good sign but if she stayed that long she prob doesn't hate you?

I do shorter first dates so things don't get stale and they're left wondering/wanting to know more.

That's always the problem I found with apps/online dating. You come across a lot of nutjobs you would normally never meet in person because such people are usually holed up at home and well outside of your social circle.
