this is what CBS is saying and it's true racism is happening more against Asians just like how it happened more with middle easterns after 9-11. CBS is reporting more Asians are finding "common ground" with Black Lives Matter.

Depends on what the indicator is. If it's just a poll asking a bunch of people what they think, then that's not very scientific for understanding a broad based social issue tied to systemic or individualized racism.

I don't see Asian American issues overlapped with much systemic racism, as is talked about a lot with either the black or native american communities. Could be totally wrong though or it's just not talked about as much.

this. huge portion of the attacks on asians, at least in the US, were by black people

Asians do NOT align with BLM for one simple reason. They arent stupid. Or, you could say theyre too smart.

BLM has been adamant about stating other races are not part of their mssion, only blacks.

In general Asians are like women and support the party they see as being in power. Antifa/BLM get away with being violent to those who oppose them and are unpunished, and so appear in power.

Talk to your smart Chinese friends (who are assimilated into American culture) about why they support the protests and you will hear some mind-boggling stuff. They will agree with you on every point that the "peaceful protesters" have no reason to be angry or believe the things they do, but that they still have the right to burn chit down and riot and loot. It's crazy how the brains of some people work.

Asian have too much of a high IQ to join that circus.

Also asian are discriminated as much if not more than whites when it comes of universities and social programs, apparently they dont fit the criteria to match diversity quotas.

From my experience, it's the upper class Asians who seem to side with democrats and believe in "brown power" or "people of color unite against whites" etc. But the double standard is that the same Asians who champion BLM would not welcome any close black presence near them or their communities.

Asians do not have the same mentality as Black people where politicians and marketers have trained them to identify strongly with one another. Chinese people are still worried big about the virus and discrimination, but none of the other Asians in the US seem to give a chit.

You'd be surprised. There are many Asian friends I know that have been virtue signalling for BLM. Majority of them have been females who seem to be way more vocal about it than males. It's really pathetic tbh. Hope this isn't the case in general.

I'd imagine 2nd or 3rd gen Asians will virtue signal BLM to fit in, but nobody who has ever lived in Asia is doing that. The people you're referring to are Americans with Asian heritage.

Most millennial Asians I know are on board with the BLM movement. It's not surprising because there's huge levels of victim mentality in the younger generation, which is behind the whole Asian representation in Hollywood, and Asian/Chinese clubs on campus, and popular youtube channels like wongfu. Regular people just care less/don't notice because Asians as a group don't stir up **** in society and are less vocal in general.

Older generation (e.g. my parents) are more split, but it's still ~65/35 in favor of the left. I won't speak for all Asians, but Chinese people are very conformist, so when you have media blasting 98% anti-Trump rhetoric, most of them will not stop to question it.

FOB Asians (e.g. International students) are a whole different story. Less cucked in general, but the men are usually physically weak/skinny/manlets and the women are materialistic. Also western definitions of racism are fully socially acceptable in China.

Asians in America are culturally against defiance towards anything that is mainstream and accepted in their local areas. The reason is most prefer to just make their money, avoid confrontation, and live a peaceful and happy life. A lot see themselves as above all the violence and the politics so they go with the mainstream flow to avoid conflict.

Since most Asians are in urban and hyper liberal areas, this leads to them being overwhelmingly Democratic and liberal on paper. So even though statistics point to the fact that attacks on Asians are overwhelmingly done by black Americans in urban areas, it is against the mainstream narrative to call out racism from black people. As a result, Asians still ally themselves with whatever is dominant in their own local area.

MSM doesnt want them to question why they need way higher MCAT scores to get into med schools compared to blacks. So now theyre pushing the propaganda that they should be aligned with BLM against whitey even though they have legalized racism against them by the democrat government
