do women really need painkillers during child birth?

yeah, how else do you think women gave birth before modern medicine. I don't want chemicals tainting my newborn son. not one bit. they say childbirth is as painful as getting kicked in the balls, but women voluntarily have multiple children despite the risks. many of those painkilling drugs, used in hospitals, are very addictive. with opioids killing 128 people a day I wouldn't risk my wife, relative, etc. pain and struggle is a natural part of labor. I would know. if you use painkillers, it is not a natural birth

No, they do not need pain killers to give birth. There are many places in the world where women give birth naturally at home.

Honestly I think c sections are more common than natural births now.

Seems like it’s being pushed by the doctors as well. Why go through hours of trying to deliver a baby when you can do a c section in 20 minutes. The doctors that did my wife’s were talking about their Switzerland vacation during it.
