White Indigenous people

A lot of people dont know about the Guanches basically a group of tall blonde muscular people who lived on Canary Islands before the Spanish arrived. They are pretty much extinct. Their downfall was pretty much similar to the Native Americans. Only difference is Native Americans had a way higher population. The Guanches refused to submit, and accept Christianity/Catholism most of them went extinct due to having weak immune systems not being able to handle diseases, dying in combat, due to Spainsh mixing with the Guanche women since most of the Guanche men died. Pretty much same downfall as the natives. Guanches were called white Indians. Lots of Canary Islanders have some admixture of Guanche.



Just wanted to share they were a pretty alpha, and smart people.

I heard the men were from 5'9 to 6'0 back then that was manmore tier, but 5'6-5'7 sounds more realistic. For example the average height of a Spanish guy back then was 5'4. The average Aztec woman was like 4'8.

Crazy to think that 100s of years ago the planet was just full of aggressive manlets.

They weren't blonde or white you sperg, they were culturaly and geneticaly related to the bereberes, so mostly north-african.

Why would the Spanish lie about them being white & blonde? Algerians ect.. are not even that dark I met many that were my complexion. Wasnt Cleopatra a Berber and blonde? Whites and Arabs are genetically related and they dont look the same

Interesting topic. I have a friend whose father is from Tenerife and we went there and stayed with him for a few weeks. He’s quite tall and I was surprised at his lighter complexion and eye color and generally more Northern European type features compared to how I expect Spaniards to look. My friend also mentioned that he had a lot of guanche blood so yeah very interesting.

Dude is really cool, he taught me some interesting local fishing techniques involving catching rock crabs, putting them in a sock and then one by one using them as bait with some fishing line and with scuba gear on and luring the fish while swimming underwater by placing a crab on a hook and putting it on a rock and just holding the line waiting to snag a fish. was hella fun. One time he emerged onto the boat after disappeoaring for like 45 minutes and pulled like 15+ decent sized fish from out of his wetsuit that he had just stuffed in there hahahh. Then we had a fish fry and invited the whole neighborhood and over the next few days random neighbors would bring over plates of food as a way of giving back and it was just great
