I Miss Yik Yak

Does anyone remember Yik Yak? It was a "hyperlocal" chat program that would let you anonymously chat with people within a certain radius of you. I'm close to a college, so I would go on there and make jokes, troll, and try and pick up college girls.

Is there anything out there like that now?

It was the biggest fk up by an app developer of all time. The best part of Yik Yak was it was completely anonymous. They ended up making everyone create accounts, and basically it wasn't anonymous anymore.

Literally could have sold it for hundreds of millions, but the guy in charge decided to run it into the ground like a complete idiot.

Good question. Idk the real reason the guy decided to ruin Yik Yak. I'd suspect the government had a role in it though. But that's just a guess.

People were making bomb threats, death threats, racist posts, etc at my school. So I could imagine having an app like that gaining in popularity is problematic for some.
