Late night feels about life and future(srs)(emotions)
had a sick weekend with lots of friends this past weekend
past 2 weeks have been very rough with lots of work and stress, it was much needed
today, my friends and I were doing festive holiday shenanigans outside. perfect day tbh
on the drive home it was silent, peaceful, music playing, just 10/10
(i'm moving across the country in June and leaving everything behind, have one friend(very good friend) in the area im moving to)
i realized during the drive these moments with these people(in particular) will be very scarce once I move away
hanging out every weekend and having a good time with the mates will turn into weekly/monthly texts, calls etc.
might fly out and see them twice a year or something at most
and the memories that I had with the mates will be filled with new memories of people I haven't even met yet
these new people will bring good experiences, bad experiences, lots of memorable nights and amazing feels, heartbreak too
saw a thread today about the festivities and it also hit me that this is the last year where ill be in close proximity to family during the holidays. gonna have to fly out for thanksgiving/christmas/easter etc.
i know for a fact that this move is 100% right for me, but damn I aint gonna lie the feels and realness of the situation are hitting me already. i want this and it's gonna be sick, but the feels
we're all gonna make it
cliffs: OP is moving far away and emotions are hitting

Feel you my guy. Its odd knowing each time you move the people you used to hang with daily/weekly move on without you probably doing the same things as before just without you. Also funny how many friends swear they'll come and see you then magically 5 years later still haven't quite made the drive/flight. Don't let it stop you though its worth it to do at least once in your life. First week or 2 after the move is probably the worst. Once you've settled in a little and maybe found an additional friend/neighbor it improves.

ITT OP finally grows up and is living his own life.

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to xbluexhawkx again."
Good that you're self-aware brah. You'll develop new ideas of thinking, new hobbies, and your old friends may no longer relate with you. One of the most beautiful and most tragic parts of life...
Good on your for the crosscountry move... I moved away from my small hometown because there was no action there, but i couldn't relate to old friends anyway.
june's a long way off though
edit: fuark i just watched that ed sheeran vid for the first time... feels for sure. Old memories, old places, old lovers...

Been hanging out with a close group of friends and even their girls every weekend since COVID. couple of trips together. always great times before grinding through the week
I'm the only one w/o a GF so I sometimes feel lonely during the week. Can't imagine moving far away
