holy crap being sleep deprived SUCKS
life feels like chit when you're mentally tired.
used to sleep 8 hrs no matter cus my work schedule is very flexible. so i always felt great. cut caffeine out too cus no need. doesn't matter what time i went to bed, cud be 9pm 11pm 1am 4am 6am, i slept till i was fully rested and then got up.
then i started school. labs twice a week plus scheduled online quizzes mean i have a set schedule which also clashes with my night shift work schedule. fukk mane. my sleep schedule is so fukked, i keep having to pull myself out of bed after 3-6 hrs of sleep and it feels awful. and my whole day is fukked. 6 is manageable, but less than that and caffeine doesn't do chit. i don't feel like doing anything strenuous, just coast thru work and class, don't lift.
the worst is just the feeling...i feel so drained and messed up. but a day when my mind is fully rested, i'm much more talkative and cheerful.

You'll get used to it. 3 hours sleep a day until you start randomly thinking about cutting off people's limbs and cooking them..... then take a break and get some proper rest. Sleep is for pussy bitch ass hoes

I have some weird genetic mutation where I can operate without sleep. I would stay up late as a kid, and still be totally fine. Took me to the doctor and they said I might have this gene that makes you sleep less. I got tested for it and they said I had it, and they also said I was just an idiot lmao. I average probably 4 hours of sleep a night, and honestly can't sleep more than 6 unless I get absolutely chit faced, in which case I'll sleep for no more than 8. Only one time in my life have I really slept more than an typical 8 hour night and that was junior year in college when I stayed up for 4 days straight to study for tests. I drove home, laid down on the couch, and slept for 17 hours straight.

just as a heads up, you can't "catch up" on the sleep. if you brahs go few hours a night for the whole week, sleeping in on the weekend is not going to repair all the damage you've done srs.

I function perfectly on 3-4 hours of sleep but I definitely don't prefer it.

Sleep Apnea brah checking in so I know how lack of sleep feels. Foggy brain, sluggish, no desire to be very social, easily irritable. Don't fall into the trap of pumping caffeine as a crutch, it'll just make things worse in the end.

It's rough op, hope things get better for you. What's weird is I've heard scientist don't really understand why we really even need sleep other than the fact that we are tired. Like biologically they don't know why. Sleep is weird. There's a Joe Rogan episode with a dude named Matthew Crowder who's a sleep specialist and it's really interesting

Suffering from on and off insomnia again...
... sucks.
... sucks.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone

sooooo real bro.
not sure if its even a pun but the difference is night and day.
getting bad sleep basically destroys the whole day for me. yes i can still do **** but it feels like death and im sure im at about 50% capacity. easily irritable and dont wanna talk to anyone.
wheras after a good nights sleep, bam already wake up with morning wood and feeling good. ready to workout. ready to work. feel way more motivated. feel more productive. hormones feel better. mood feels better. actuallly want to socialize and be nice to people.

like normal people they refill their tank to like 90-100% if they get like 9 hours of sleep.
my tank doesn't get refilled on sleep anymore cause of my injury lol. like maybe it refills 10% of energy.

normal sleep deprivation is absolutely nothing in comparison.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

Some days I get insomnia and I got 30+ hours with 10 minutes of sleep, its the worst
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.
