Just got accepted into my dream law school with a full ride scholarship!

Title says it all. Been studying for the LSAT for just under 2 years, took the August exam and scored a 166 (about 6-7th percentile), and applied to 8 schools at the end of last month/beginning of this month. Heard back from 2 so far, and the 2nd one was my dream school, and they offered me a full ride!

Previous thread when I took the November LSAT:https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...post1592350641

Ended up semi-bombing it, sulked and licked my wounds for 3 months, then when COVID hit, I decided to get back to studying and go hard. Was pulling 30-40 hour weeks for close to 5 months, and it finally paid dividends! This has been a dream goal of mine for 2 years, and I can't believe it actually happened. Never give up on your dreams my bros! We're all gonna make it!

Sadly, your online law degree, now that every university has decided to become the University of Phoenix, is going to be useless.

I was about to LOL at you until I saw the full scholarship. Good job and btw 6-7th percentile means you beat only 6-7% of exam takers which is bad. I think you mean 93-94th percantile

Too bad college degrees are worthless these days. At least you aren't dumb enough to pay for a piece of paper that confirms the same.

This is wrong and can be quantified as such... what do you do for a living...?

Truth is the bare minimum to get your foot in many lucrative career fields are that piece of paper that show you can be dedicated to something for a minimum 4 years.

I have a friend at the same school who just started his 2L, and sort of guided me through the process so I'm going to be reaching out to him for his old books! Right now I'm leaning towards immigration law but I'm open to seeing what interests me and going from there. No idea about internships or anything yet, I'm going to start researching everything UNLV offers and plotting my plan of attack from there!

For each job in my industry, we have several thousands of applicants who all have four year degrees. I would also say at least 4/5 have a Masters/ MBA too.

You are welcome.

Congrats brah. Donโ€™t listen to the negative posters ITT. Tradies donโ€™t understand the feeling of getting accepted into higher education programs.

OP, I'm pleased you aren't a sensitive mouth breather.

Just remember to enjoy the journey. And when you start work, I just hope all the Boomers are out and you end up with a cool boss.

Here's my only tip for you that will apply from your first day until you retire
