Are there any good Midwestern cities to live or is my tour over?

Stay in Illinois and I hear a lot of doom and gloom about the state so I want to leave, but I want to stay close because family reside here. Was trying to find better cities within the Midwest.

Moved from IL 2 years ago to NC. Fuk that corrupt, bankrupt state. If you don't move, you are on the hook for something like $35k for every member of your family to fund the massive pension debt they have no intention of fixing. Pack your stuff as fast as possible. If you want to stay close to IL, maybe consider Louisville or St. Louis. Hell, even Indianapolis is better, but I can't tell you how happy it makes me to be by mountains and beaches instead of 5 hours of corn in each direction.

I feel you on the family thing dude. It's the reason I'm at where I am. If not I'd be up in the Florida panhandle or Texas so fast it'd make your head spin

Kansas City isn't bad for being in the midwest. Lots of nightlife and great NFL team.

I have nothing for you OP sorry, never been to midwest. Lived in NJ/NY all my life. But been to NC for vacation a few times as a kid and loved it. Can't go wrong with beautiful mountains and crispy ocean waves.

Florida would be somewhere on the emerald coast between Gulf Breeze to the west and Tallahassee to the east.

Personally in Texas I'd rather be outside of Houston, preferably on a body of water but my wife is crazy over the Austin area.

I picked outside of Houston and those parts of Florida because like myself they are both very "southern" places in culture.

Come realize all your dreams and desires in Omaha, NE. Low unemployment, excellent schools, The Oracle, College World Series, great restaurants and nightlife scene in all areas, corn fed fillies.

I hear Austin is a liberal hell hole LOL. I've been one time, didn't think much of it, definitely a bunch of homeless which I wasn't used to.

Austin is definitely a lib chithole. I'd avoid it unless you love being surrounded by pompous hipsters and homeless. It's also ridiculously overpriced thanks to all the *******s moving from the west coast.

TBF I think my wife just has fond memories of Austin from 15 years ago. She used to go there every summer to visit her uncle who lives there. She hasn't been there since 2012.

lol @ Minneapolis or Detroit

depends on your age, interests etc. greatly

for the average person I would say Austin is best rn, I would live there but it doesn't fill in some of my niche interests at my age

1. Austin
2. Nashville
3. San Diego(heard GOAT things about this place, but California)

every city is also gonna be liberal OP, lol @ anyone bitching about a democrat city. if your city isn't democrat rn give it 10 years max.

also gtfo of the midewst lol
