Best way to prevent/ remove frost from your windshield?

Do you guys use a windshield scraper every morning?
I've heard people say they use some type of tarp or cloth to put on their windshield so they don't have to scrape the frost every morning.
Any input? thanks

I use an old credit card or other pointless card to scrape away. Works so much quicker.

You can buy windshield covers made for this. Made of tarp usually have flaps to tuck in the doors so it stays tight to the wind shield.

The blue windshield liquid has alcohol in it, so i squirt a generous amount and use defrost with wipers.

this, defroster helps a lot if its bad.

depends what kind of frost you got. Just light stuff from the air, some snow or the worse is like a rain that froze over night.

Park in a garage is my go to strategy as well

Scrapers are inconvenient and take too much elbow grease and time. De-ice chemicals are costly and bad for the environment. Heat/defrost takes a lot of time and isn't good for your automobile. A tarp makes you look like a fool.
Just put it on to boil while you're getting ready. Make sure you spread it evenly so you can de-ice the whole windshield. It's done in seconds.

I can't tell if you are serious or not...

In Northern IL, if you throw boiling water on a windshield you either get instant snow when it is too cold, or the hot water melts the ice and then immediately refreezes on your windshield in a opaque film.

If it's in your driveway you can put a towel over the window before you go to sleep. Take it off in the morning and no frost

Him and the others saying boiling water are obviously joking. Fellow IL brah here too

If you do that your windshield will break almost instantly from the temperature change.

OP just get remote start. Start it 5 min before you leave. Profit. Takes like 20 seconds to get the rest off by that time.

OP doesn’t want to have to scrape his windshield every morning....

Can’t get a frosted windshield if you don’t have a windshield.
