Why is it so hard to stay away from the gym.. BB docos?

On a week break. I don't like deloads. Haven't had a break for a solid 3.5 months. Eating at maintenance for the week before cutting off the last few kgs before xmas..

On another note, what's your favorite bodybuilding documentary/series? I feel like I've watched everything on youtube.
Need some inspiration to come back 10x more pumped than I already am lol

if your joints are fuked, you are doing something wrong. record your lifts, improve your form. Just about everyone can improve their form. Take the time and commit to this, you shouldnt be feeling so banged up.

oh if your lifts are blowing up because of dat dere, that is another story.

I record my lifts and have done a form check recently. Joints can become sore with proper form too. Cheers

i see, i do not mess with dat dere and therefore my gains do not normally surpass my tendon/ligament development. I think your deloads and taking time off is wise for now, until you develop more or figure something out.

Fair, have you got any suggestions for programming? Now would be a good time to switch up my routine I suppose. The last few weeks of cutting will be murder doing PPL I think

programing is easy. I use Intensity, it is an app. You put in your maxes and it calculates your workout for you. The app includes many bodybuilding or powerlifting programs. I'd say try that and run a split that is completely different.

You'd need to be training on an olympic level toREALLYneed a de-load and de-loads are debatable. I personally think they are a good idea for high level lifters

its true, some people may use a deload as a cheap excuse to be lazy. But if you are feeling banged up and want to prevent a more serious injury, i d say go on a deload.

If you feel like yourbodyneeds a rest, by all means, rest. I mean, you doNEEDrest to grow muscle and to recover. But for most people, deloads arent needed. SO what you CAN do isactive recoverywhere you are still in the gym working out, but you are doing stuff where you dont do any eccentric contractions
-Sled pushes, Jump ropes, battle ropes, medicine ball slams, LISS cardio, ab work (yeah there is eccentric work but abs can tolerate up to 6-7 days a week but require a rest day or two after that), etc

Staying active (but not too active) gets the blood going to areas that are in recovery and helps speed the process up.
If you want to measure if you REALLY need a deload or rest period, then get a scale that isnt digital (one with a needle that is spring loaded). Turn it away from you and stand in front of a mirror then squeeze the fuk out of it and see where the needle landed. Do this every morning. If your CNS is fatigued then you'll start to move the needle less and less. Otherwise, you should get a consistent poundage

If your body actually needs a deload, you will want it.I usually just start getting random joint pains,****ty sleep,no motivation for gym, tired outside of gym.1 week of same workouts with ~60% of weights and feel like new srs
