Have done everything right. Cpa, cma, networking, decent job. This state is still too damn expensive (California) the only solution is to leave and start life in new state.

I agree the solution is to not vote liberal, but to think you have to bust your ass to get success is BS. Opportunity + preparation = success.

There is no opportunity in blue states unless you plan to leave after getting experience.

Many millennials I know won't actually get any wealth. The reason why is that their parents reverse mortgaged their house.

$600,000 house becomes worth $500 after death.

This is dumb. Doesn't take into account age.

Millennials are still young and building their careers...

In the future Millennials will be at the top, then Gen Z, etc...

The bulk of that wealth be transferred to the top 1%, not to younger generations. This is what causes the cancerous wealth gap that slowly erodes prosperity.

Yes, it is. In the past, people had to get hired for an actual job. The opportunity that is available today never existed before the internet.

Media and education all pushing one side, but don't worry when they realize there's no room for individualism and growth they will snap out of it. Any very young person who has different opinions will be too scared to even voice them especially on social media, remember only one political side is censored in nearly every form of entertainment and media outlet but silent people can still vote.

Ironic they claim freedom, anti fascism, equal this blah blah when it's never been a more stringent and media biased political period I've ever seen. I was looking up on a few websites some movie suggestions and every side article was condemning/smear Trump.

Nearly every sh*t state with it's economical issues and social issues is all due to the side young people are being pressured to support.

I don't think there is a more dumber life form than a young liberal female. You almost feel like it is an NPC, and the confidence in which they deliver their absurd copy/paste opinions makes you want to suck up car fumes.

Of course technology imprisoned, fat, lazy pieces of sh*t would prefer a system that drags everything to one level.

Savage.

Anyone who thinks the average millenial has an easier shot at the American dream (wife, 2.5 kids, house, white picket fence) is a complete moron. Boomers had that handed to them by the time they were 20. Most millennials are still living at home by 30 due to the increasing requirements of employment and real estate prices.

Living at home by 40. Common in hispanic and asian families. The white man is experiencing this too for the 1st time. Fortunately white people hate living in the barrio, so it's cheap here.

Retarded white people kick out their kids at 18 and tell them they are failures because they can't pay $2K rent on minimum wage. It's no wonder young kids are liberal.

When I was entry level I was told by my older co-workers why I don't take out a mortgage on $40K.

Yes, I'm going to be able to afford a $750,000 home on $40K.

Very common in Mediterranean cultures too. Think it’s more related to living space than anything.

But yeah boomers had long term jobs and affordable houses handed to them. Now they are calling millennials useless because they can’t afford to save for a house while paying student loan debt, rent, health care costs etc etc

People saying when the boomers are gone the wealth will trickle down. I can’t see it

Before the internet you had to check classifieds for jobs. Good luck finding a job out of state. Also good luck finding side hustles in the past without the internet and phone apps.

If an area is expensive then leave. How is that complicated? Florida is a desirable place on the East coast with no state tax and is still cheap. Orlando, Tampa, East coast beach towns all have affordable real estate.

Less excuses and more ingenuity. My next job will be telemedicine Psychiatry that I can do 7am-10pm in different areas of the USA. That means I can pull 15 hour days and make bank if I want to. Def plan on doing some 90hr weeks and building up some srs assets when I get this hustle. 12 years ago I was a political science grad deliveirng pizzas until I got a job making $11/hr as a fireman, I make $70/hr now, next job will be $100/hr, when I start my company I think I can almost pull up to 200/hr. Find your niche and stop blaming boomers

They have a much easier shot but would rather have a $1000 computer in their pocket, drink $5 coffee, and flex on social media.

Strong cops by failures in this thread. Pathetic loser mentality’s. The boomers!!’ That’s why I’m a ****ing loser!!!!

Young people have always been sort of communist, then they change once they start paying taxes.

US is a bit socialist now, but I don't see it getting much worse in my lifetime. It's hard to fundamentally change things in the US

Young people are stupid and idealistic. They haven't yet come to terms with how the real world works yet, so it's not surprising they would embrace a concept like communism at face value. We can't deny that the overarching principles sound nice in theory, but it's more of a pipe dream than anything. We're not at the point in our evolution as human beings yet to treat each other with respect and individual dignity. We're still way too tribal, opting to separate ourselves by means of psychological borders and imaginary lines in the sand - religion, countries, cultures, etc. These are all non-tangible things that we made up as humans.

Perhaps once they age a bit and are a bit more well-seasoned they'll see how young, dumb, and idealistic they were being. Who knows. At this point I don't even care. Let the world burn and I'll watch it burn and write about it.

This.

College is the biggest scam in centuries.

Parents force their teenage kids to accept a decade of indentured servitude.

Success and status are the antidotes to marxism and the system is rigged to both indoctrinate everyone in marxism, and simultaneously prevent them from succeeding thereby guaranteeing they remain marxists.

Saddle the next generation with 6 figure student loan in exchange for being indoctrinated in marxism and being given a piece of paper that is basically an iq test, while providing them with absolutely no skills, they're actually less employable than before college because now they have huge entitlement from the indoctrination in addition to zero skills.

Send out these indoctrinated marxists into sht jobs so they can be broke, indentured servants for the next decade and build lifelong resentment towards society.

Convert the decade where they are most likely to be entrepreneurial, take risks to do great things and accomplish big things, and create lifelong success into underemployment and guaranteed lifelong underachievement. And convert mass amounts of what would otherwise be quality women into relationally broken, unmarriable companions.

The only way out without a revolution or total system collapse is for colleges to go out of business and the generation that grows up without the modern college indoctrination takes power. Everyone between here and there needs to age out and fade out without the system collapsing. Under classical economics it would take about two generations of de-regulated markets to desync the insane wealth gap that's been created in the last several decades.

Seems unlikely we get through it all without catastrophe.
