Saddle the next generation with 6 figure student loan in exchange for being indoctrinated in marxism and being given a piece of paper that is basically an iq test, while providing them with absolutely no skills, they're actually less employable than before college because now they have huge entitlement from the indoctrination in addition to zero skills.

Send out these indoctrinated marxists into sht jobs so they can be broke, indentured servants for the next decade and build lifelong resentment towards society.

Convert the decade where they are most likely to be entrepreneurial, take risks to do great things and accomplish big things, and create lifelong success into underemployment and guaranteed lifelong underachievement. And convert mass amounts of what would otherwise be quality women into relationally broken, unmarriable companions.

The only way out without a revolution or total system collapse is for colleges to go out of business and the generation that grows up without the modern college indoctrination takes power. Everyone between here and there needs to age out and fade out without the system collapsing.

Seems unlikely.
Americans have been brainwashed so profoundly by the college scam. They fetishize college. It's on a whole other level. Kids grow up thinking that getting a BA is the be all end all. It's not. Most BA's are an absolute waste of time and resources. If you're not thinking of college as a means to an end (i.e., get your BA to get into a graduate program or specialize heavily) then you're making a massive mistake, unless you genuinely just want to go to learn. But most colleges have become radical liberal indoctrination centres now anyways.

brb spending over 100k for a useless degree
brb thinking getting a BA at a "top university" will amount to anything

There's lots of poking fun at "tradies" here but nowadays kids are better off going to tradeschool and learning a valuable skill that is actually marketable.

It's much deeper and more subtle than just the education system. Go look at some maga content or pictures of puppies on instagram and see how long it takes the explore algorithms to direct you to memes promoting communism, feminism, black power, and muh crippling anxiety.

The reduction in stigma and the openness about mental health struggles is truly a double-edged sword. On the one hand, I think it's great that people are becoming more aware of what the issues may be and discussing them, but I've also noticed a "learned helplessness" side of this as well. I see images being shared on social media with messages like "don't ask me this or that because I have anxiety. Don't expect me to do this because depression." This is a really negative thing. There is no such thing as "anxiety" or "depression." They are not "illnesses." Can can neither catch nor spread these things. They are a concept - a cluster of symptoms that fit into a category. And overall, the worst thing you can do for yourself if you happen to be experiencing these difficulties is to do nothing about them. Having people make concessions for you or accommodate your problems will only serve to maintain and exacerbate them in the long run. You need to separate yourself from the disorder. You aren't a "depressed person," you're an individual that happens to be struggling with symptoms that fit into the category of a major depressive episode. You are not your disorder. That belief will do so much damage.

Sure, it's not just online, it's all media doing the same thing and all cultural institutions, and increasingly more things every year as the corruption spreads. But the primary source of this corrupted fountain is the education system.

There is no such thing as natural law. You cannot simply cherry pick, which external factors count and which don't.
Hard times do not necessarily make people stronger. They can also make them more corrupt, traumatize them or just decimate them to the point of no return. "Stronger" people are not necessarily fit to run a booming economy either. Look at all the Middle Eastern countries, who keeps staying bad despite international efforts to rebuild them. Hard times also created ISIS, which you have to admit consisted of traditionally strong men. They made everything worse.

Poland is a bad example as well, since you are completely ignoring the impact of WW2, probably the hardest time that country ever faced, which would extend your little cycle over multiple generations and basically ruin that rule as well.

Going $100k in debt for a useless degree, debt owed to the government and unforgivable.

Indoctrination that America is bad and only the government can fix it.

Awareness = marketing. The more familiar you are with mental illness, the more likely you are to experience it. Your mind responds to difficulties with reactions learned from culture. It could be a healthy reaction or it could be whatever symptoms are fashionable. Catching the vapours in the 1700s was the same thing as anorexia in the 90s or dyeing your hair purple and becoming an activist today.

If people truly cared about kids' mental health, they would talk about it sparingly and use positive examples from people who understate and overcome their problems. Pull them incrementally back to balance. Instead we imply that being okay is abnormal and they're in a competition to see who can struggle the most with everyday existence.

It's ironic; all these talks of socialism and equality and out comes out an iPhone 12, from a $80 pair of trendy jeans, and then drive in a BMW to a fancy wine bar to talk to more woke friends to show how enlightened you are and take selfies to post on Instagram.

I totally agree with the posters ITT that say boomers had it way easier and young people have it harder (SRS). Pretty much every data point agrees with this. Income to housing price ratios, unemployment levels, college debt etc.

What they don't realize is that it is harder now BECAUSE of the liberal policies over the past few decades:
1. Unrestricted migration, puts downward pressure on wages for lower skilled jobs and upward pressure on housing prices. But we need this cuz of muh feels
2. H1B program has been abused, puts downward pressure on wages for higher skilled jobs. But we need this cuz of muh feels
3. Government handing out student loans like candy has driven up education costs. But we need this cuz of muh feels
.....

And then they turn around and go: "we need more liberalism"

And make jokes like: "a capitalist, a worker, and a migrant are sitting at a table with 100 cookies. The capitalist takes 99 cookies and says to the worker, watch out for the migrant hes about to take your cookie"

Am millennial, am "successful".

I still think old people had it easier than young people. Have any if you seen anyone 60+ in the workplace, especially in an office setting? Honestly has anyone seen this?

Most of them type at 1 word per minute, don't use the mouse wheel (use up and down arrows instead), don't know how to print PDFs, and know zero about excel. Many don't even know how to fax, and they grew up with that technology. One dude had over 50 years in accounting experience (more than Biden's been in politics) and doesn't know anything. Super inefficient, super incompetent where he typically works 17 hour days because he is so slow.

I constantly get called in just to do his work for him, since i know how to use excel, his "3 hour project" becomes a "5 second project" complete waste of money on a complete waste of an employee.

For some reason some posters in this thread are right wing, but support the struggle that illegal aliens go through. "LOL if it's so hard in your location, just leave."

I agree that CA, NY are failed states, but first conservatives need to take back control to make those places liveable. You can't just treat people in the state like you were treated and expect them to magically become conservative. I remember a thread a while back where many retards were claiming that CA housing is just as cheap as other states (when considering inflation). LOL if you think that.

Kicking your kids out at 18 and expecting them to flourish isn't going to make them conservative, it's going to make them hate you for being a retard.

Know someone who kicked out all 6 of their kids at 18. All grew up conservative, only 1 is still conservative.

All are on welfare with multiple kids or have moved in with their spouse's parents, or moved in with liberal boomer relatives. If you do dumb **** like that, your kids will spite you and your politics.

It's been going on for a few years but has been at an all time high the closer we get to the election.

It's a combination of what we have experiences as Milleneals/Xennials over the past few decades (9/11, 2008 housing crisis, COVID-19) and being fed lies by academia that we would all be successful if we just go to college and do things "right". Obviously Boomers thinking that many of us are lazy, entitled, etc (which IMO some of it's true) doesn't help either so right now we have the younger generation resenting the very system we were brought into.

I'm successful for my age but I know it's certainly hard for many out there. I still don't think Socialism/Communism is the way to go. Our international enemies are looking at us with glee watching us tear each other from the inside.

People who have nothing love the idea of sharing everything. A vast majority of people who have something started with nothing and EARNED it. It doesn't happen overnight but we live in a here and now society with this younger generation having the attention span and patients of a flea they aren't willing to wait.

What these dumbfuk zoomers and younger millenials can't see is that these "boomers" when they were their age weren't in any of a position better than they are.

I see this a lot too. I worked my ass off and sacrificed a ton during my 20s but in my early 30s, I live extremely comfortably. Even though I'm pretty frugal and live an extremely modest lifestyle, I wouldn't want the government taking 90% of what I make. It doesn't seem fair. If you're a self-made millionaire and worked your ass off to earn, why should you give away hundreds of thousands of dollars? Personally, it's part of my belief system to care for those that are in need and to try and help them out as much as I can, either by volunteering or in a financial way (i.e., philanthropy). Perhaps if more people were less materialistic and chose to help out those in need rather than buy that second car, things might be nicer overall? I dunno. Then again, nobody should be telling you you can't get that second car if you work for it. It's tough.

I know boomers who were part if a commune that now own houses on a single parent Income in CA.

If anyone young did this nowadays, would you say they have the same opportunity?

People bought small 60K homes that are now worth 500K

The world is not the same especially in CA where the majority of communists are bred and infect the rest of the US.

Looking at public records for Los Angeles, a 800K cost 120K in the 80s.

it's not true over here. the world here is gimmie gimmie gimmie **** off **** off. nobody wants to share **** lol. there's no sense of community at all amongst white canadians.

honestly it's not the millenials or young people complaining here either. all the homeless and drug addicts and worthless ****s are the people after millennials and boomer age. all the young people are doing good here, the ones that went to school. that's probably the difference here and the US, from what I read on the misc about school being worthless. school is pretty much the #1 factor for success here. my cousin just did 2 year IT program, boom got a job right away making high income. older generation didn't go to school so they get ****ed. older people are the complaining ****s, "immigrants takin ouuuur jooobss and hoooomes" but the guys complaining just sit outside all day
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

Except we know that's categorically untrue. They inherited the strongest US economy in history. Then they immediately sold out the next 10 generations of gains to China so the executives could buy a lake house.

I also believe in helping people but not just giving them money so they can continue living a NEET lifestyle contributing nothing good and taking up resources.

They bought 60K homes at a time where 8%APR was a good interest rate and you needed a 20% down payment (might have been slightly lower, but much higher than today) also in a time when it was harder to build credit and they were stricter. Add that to the inflation they aren't making off with much. If they sell they can't where are they going to live? Consider that they bought there when it really wasnt' so "great" to live there, long before big tech, the only thing they had going was the weather. They built big tech, manybe these worthless zoomers shoudl get off their ass and do something productive and build something. Plus, why do you have to live in CA?

honestly it's not the millenials or young people complaining here either. all the homeless and drug addicts and worthless ****s are the people after millennials and boomer age. all the young people are doing good here, the ones that went to school. that's probably the difference here and the US, from what I read on the misc about school being worthless. school is pretty much the #1 factor for success here. my cousin just did 2 year IT program, boom got a job right away making high income. older generation didn't go to school so they get ****ed. older people are the complaining ****s, "immigrants takin ouuuur jooobss and hoooomes" but the guys complaining just sit outside all day
Kids that grew up with no work ethic and no rules with drug addictions catching up to them.

Actually the strongest economy was just before the plandemic hit. Do you even understand what kind of inflation was going on in the 60's through early 80's.

Anyways with all that being said, when I was a kid, I wanted a new bike, and nice one, and my grandmother was like hell no I'm not going to pay for a $300 bicycle so I got the lawn mower and cut grass around the neighborhood until I could buy it my self. I've been working ever since. I'm a mechanic, been one a long time. I'm doing good now, but there was a long time I did hard work for pay that sucked. I see the younger people, who have been coddled their whole childhood, who are 18+ and never had a real job, and haven't even really done anything who are the one's that are complaining. HAVE YOU EVEN TRIED to make it in the world? Put forth an effort. I'm sorry to say but you can judge a book by it's cover to a point and it's clear as day that most of these people haven't even put forth a decent effort.

Add that to the inflation they aren't making off with much. If they sell they can't where are they going to live? They built big tech, manybe these worthless zoomers shoudl get off their ass and do something productive and build something. Plus, why do you have to live in CA?
I don't have to live here, but you must not understand how it feels to have your home destroyed by liberalism. I lived in a relatively red part (trump signs everywhere currently) where I live now in SD it's a completely different country. There's illegals everywhere, no job opportunities that pay well, and housing is cripplingly expensive, and everyone is a dirty commie and claim they are libertarians.

My choice is to abandon my home (which is likely going to happen) or move to a red state. There are more opportunities in some red states in accounting (refer to indeed), but that means saying goodbye to the places I grew up in.

I can buy a house in cash in another state. Over here I have to put it down just to cover a decent chunk of the mortgage.

The 60K house was paid for by an engineer salary, but even then the loser who bought that house got divorced and is now struggling even though his salary hasn't kept pace. How is it possible that he was able to buy a house before, but now he's in the same position as I am now just renting (no alimony)?

Before parents were renting for $600 a month now it's nearly 3 times and they still make the same.

It was all just satire. Sorry if I offended anyone with my trolling and sickening posts. Peace and love to everyone.

There are a bunch of reasons:

-Indoctrination in it via the school system from Kindergarten through college.
-Media pushing it 24x7

Once they realize that it isn't just about taking other people stuff but taking what you have as well they will snap out of it. Communism is a failed system that is not sustainable.

And of course when this blends with social media narcissism, and the smug irony of meme autism...insufferable generation.

People grow out of it when they amass assets and no longer want to share. What's going to happen now that most of the assets are going to the top 1% instead of being passed down?

Most of them type at 1 word per minute, don't use the mouse wheel (use up and down arrows instead), don't know how to print PDFs, and know zero about excel. Many don't even know how to fax, and they grew up with that technology. One dude had over 50 years in accounting experience (more than Biden's been in politics) and doesn't know anything. Super inefficient, super incompetent where he typically works 17 hour days because he is so slow.

I constantly get called in just to do his work for him, since i know how to use excel, his "3 hour project" becomes a "5 second project" complete waste of money on a complete waste of an employee.
yea, ive thought about this. my grandpa is a legit millionaire with millions in land

but my bro bought his company. and it was in complete disarray. no idea how that dude ran it. but it must have been easy if he was able to make millions

i feel very similar with a lot of "old skills"
