American Furniture Brands - Misc Sofa Recommendations

Any adult miscers have any furniture recommendations? Looking to buy a sofa, frame should be American made, don't care if I have to wait 3 months.

Planning to check out some Ethan Allen stuff in person in the next few days, but would be interested to hear what brands you miscers have had success with. I have a lot of showrooms around me so I can usually go see just about anything with national distribution.

EDIT: I'm looking to spend about $2500-3500 for a full sized sofa and maybe up to $4500ish if it has a chaise end. No need for larger sectionals at this time.

I’d strongly consider a Stickley sofa at this point, not sure what your price range is but guessing decent if you’re planning on waiting for an order

I used Ashley Furniture. Decently priced and good quality.

Also got help from a fine older black woman with a nice body and big teddies in the store, so that was nice.

It all depends on the item though they’re typically all made different

Also don’t be those annoying people who feel entitled to have furniture next week and don’t be surprised if it gets delayed from date they tell you. Covid happened and delays are inevitable and it goes with about everything. Stupid people every day asking why does it take weeks or months even after explaining it comes from over seas, covid, shut down for months, they still expect Theres to magically come faster if they cal n bitch eve day

I ordered a Stickley bookcase at the end of Sep and was told end of Dec or possibly mid January depending on COVID

I'm too late for the SOFA KING ( SO Fukking ) joke it looks like.

OP whats your price range?

We just got an extra comfy Ashley furniture sofa for $1600. Very large, sits 8 if needed. We love it waited 2 1/2 months but worth it
Just trying hard to not be a fat sack-o-chit.

If you are considering leather, make sure you buy leather. Don't fall for a sales pitch that any kind of faux leather is just as good or better. We bought two chairs (Ashley and Lazy Boy) with faux leather and a leather sofa (Lazy Boy). The chairs have worn poorly and peeled everywhere. Leather sofa still looks great.

I'll look into those, haven't found any prices quoted from the few dealers nearby.

I'm trying to avoid going with the cheap imported furniture this time around. Just want one solid centerpiece sofa that I can expect to own for a long time. I'm looking to spend about $2500-3500 for a full sized sofa and maybe up to $4500ish if it has a chaise end. No need for larger sectionals at this time.

I'm liking this right now:

Fuark I wish I knew this. Picked up a sofa and loveseat combo with a master bed frame a month or so ago.
Super happy with the quality and everything was on sale at the time though so I’m not mad.

Just ordered a custom version of that, bit longer on both sides, and then an additional 84in love seat in that same material.

Total was like $14k or $15k. Most insanely comfortable couch ive ever sat on. Will last a lifetime. Went with the Tuscana Truffle color

I'm shopping for furniture to. Seems like most of it is garbage. I went to Ashley, Roomplace and Lazyboy so far.

Ashley some of the beds creeked and pop'd as I sat on them.
Chairs felt cheap and weren't the most comforitable.

Roomplace was a little better but not by much.

Lazyboy I just don't like the style much.

Checking out EthenAllen next.

I like a lot of their styling, what did you pay? Another one where it's hard to see local inventory and pricing.

I've seen Bassett kicked around a few times. I've got an outlet so I'll add them to the list.

I just have very little interest in buying the stuff that falls apart in 5-7 years and shows sag within months. I feel like the margin is higher on some of the cheap furniture and it's just built to look nice and then fall apart.

Yeah it’s for my art room. I recommend an L sofa with cup holders in the arm rest. I have one of those but I bought it from a company that went under in April.

Although if I decide to go the cheap route in the end (disposable), this is probably the one I would pick at the moment:
