A lot of people do swear by this method. There are meditations where you breathe in deeply and simultaneously squeeze your perineum (area around your balls) lower abdomen and the chest area up during the breath. As if you're vacuuming all that into your brain (pineal gland). Then breathe out and repeat.

Dr Joe Dispenza has some good stuff on this.
