Rotator cuff brahs - machines for all pressing exercises?

Tweaked my shoulder a few months ago doing weighted ring dips. The soreness hasn't really gone away though because I've continued to dumbbell/bench presses etc.

My MMA gym is about to reopen again but I'm not going to be able to train properly like this. I'm pretty sure its not a tear but probably inflammation, as muscular strength in the shoulder has continued to increase.

I'm thinking to just do all of my pressing exercises on machines only for a while. Will probably do much lighter work too.

Any brahs think this is a good idea? Anyone with similar experience able to share their tips/advice for recovery?

Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

if not ripped/teared resistance bands and embarrassingly light weights

grappling sounds like a bad idea

machines aren't guaranteed safer

for most people with shoulder injuries, landmine presses are a pretty good exercise. it doesn't lock your shoulder into a fixed path so you can adjust these in a way that feels good on your shoulder

obv you don't want to go to heavy on these but at the same time if you completely ignore them the muscles surrounding them become weak and more susceptible to injury. you can work around injuries, just do something that is comfortable and pain-free. resistance bands as mentioned are a pretty good idea

have you ever confirmed the nature of your shoulder injury through an MRI?

This. Anything lasting longer than 2 weeks needs to be examined professionally. Don't take any chances.

Op don't be an idiot and listen to this idiot. Rest is never the answer. Painfree movement is the key, go to a PT and design a good plan together to go forward.

Thanks for the responses brahs. Will contact a shoulder specialist and see what they find.

Not yet as it was only giving me some grief when I was pressing. I don't feel it during anything else but I think its time to get it checked now

My point is don't work through the pain. And yes, half the time a doctor will shrug their shoulders and suggest R.I.C.E. wanna guess what the "R" stands for *******?
