you don't even know who is and isn't on dat dere so you are not making any points

you don't simply drink a fountain of creatine and voila you gain 200 lbs on your bench lol

also: red

point is you got kids with merely several years or training, at least during puberty putting high af numbers whether they are natty or not. some in the IPF where they get tested which isn't a guarantee but at least you have some sort of evidence of natty-ness. Some putting up numbers above 400 and closing in to 500.

Lol, it’s definitely a huge part of it. People getting faster is a terrible example for your cause, every top olympic sprinter besides Bolt is basically known to have juiced, but I’m sure Bolt is just that much more genetically gifted to the point of being naturally faster than other very genetically gifted folks who are also doping.....I also have a bridge to sell you.

Dude, if you don’t understand how prevalent doping is at the top level of any sport or athletic event, I dont know what to tell you. I already acknowledged that of course increased sample sizes, modern nutrition and optimized training account for some of it, but PEDs also account for a very large part as well. Denying that is pretty much believing in Santa.

I think you have to take into account raw powerlifting is a relatively new sport and didn't start to get popular until the 2010s. Before that it was pretty much mostly equipped lifting. Powerlifting in general was very fringe and there were probably very few that dedicated themselves solely to getting a bigger bench. Now that raw powerlifting is more popular, you have a more diverse talent pool. also technique/archmaxxing, standardization of form, equipment all across the board, etc. It's not like it was a thing that was centuries old and established for a long time.

USAPL held it's first raw nationals in 2008 and IPF I think in 2012

Olympic sprinting has been there for more than 100 years, albeit some improvements to certain technology that has allowed sprinters to run slightly faster but it hasn't really changed all to drastically.

All of these including a bigger simple size of BILLIONS moee people = possible
I never said it was impossible, just that a 500 lbs bencher is much more likely to be on gear than to be a natural genetic outlier, just simple math.

Just looked at theUSA Powerlifting 2020open records for and the best BP is 291kg/661lbs but the guy is 120+ kg/240+ lbs so you were right. I wuppose a prereuqisite for a huge BP is comparable size as well

Like I said, in my 20 years in the gym I have seen a few guys like this. My guess is the guy is natural 100%. His recruitment is crazy. Look at the bar speed. I could do 315x12 but the bar was slow as hell. This guy makes 315 look like 135.

Combination of fiber type make up and perfect leverages. Just perfectly blessed and probably never really had had to train like many of us. His form is far from perfect or refined. Just plain cock strong
I listed my personal accomplishment because i am accomplished in both applied clinical exercise physiology as well as been lifting for 20+ years. I am not just running my mouth with little to nothing backing up my word.

Do you even understand what leverage is or did you just see it in this thread and repeat it? Leverage meansthe exertion of force by means of a lever or an object used in the manner of a lever. There is minimal leverage in Bench pressing because the moment arm action of the elbows and upper arms is minimal as well. it's like people saying "I have weird bicep insertions" or some chit.

Not sure what your back ground is but you say you have 20+ years in the gym. I have seen in my time some of strongest guys sometimes dont even take training seriously. They are unicorns, and I have seen maybe 3 or 4 of them over the years.

They certainly dont compete. They will just walk in, maybe missing 3-4 weeks, and come in talking for 45 min, and then go bench 405 for reps like it is nothing.

There was a guy in the >35 a few years back benching 500+ and had skinny arms and looked like a lot of out of shape guys in thier 40's. Probably weighted about 240 with a waist as big as his chest. Knew nothing of competition. Started training again, and joined BB.com. He was benching 560 or more if I remember. Terrible form, and all just pure strength.

His back story was he had been in and out of a gym over the years. Kind of a local hero. I think he shared in highschool, he benched 450+.

So the world is a big place. If in 20 years you have not seen some of the freaks nature has to offer, you need to get out more.

Again, my guess, is this guy is just strong as fuk. It is really easy to say this must be drugs. It makes people feel better since their crappy lifts dont feel so good in comparison. But there are some incredibly strong people in this world. And probably the strongest dont even compete. Many barely train.

When I was 19, i worked out at this local commercial gym. There was this guy in his mid 40s, looked exactly like the guy in OP. All he ever did was bench and talk. Ill never know for sure, but im very confident he wasn't enhanced. He'd bench 225 x45. Dont remember his max, but back then 225 was my max.so it always blew me away watching him do it 40 plus times.

I hit 225 x 23 last year @ 195 lbs.

He might be natty, he might be enhanced. But take into account age, time and genetics. If that dude is about 45 years old and has been consistently training his bench press since he's 20 years old. That's 25 years to hit that 475x3 or 315x20 number.

To anyone doubting his nattiness. If you devoted yourself to the bench-press for the next 20-25 years of your life what numbers do you think you could achieve? There are some genetic outliers where people are just really strong. In general its more feasible to get really strong as a natural then get a really good physique. He's probably juicing but who knows. His physique doesn't look very impressive.

I have a good friend in his mid 40s that can put up 405 for a couple of reps and he's completely natural. Know it for a fact as we suggested he try a SARM, or even get his blood done for TRT in the past and he declined. 6'1 250lbs. Been lifting since he was about 15. When he works on getting a leaner body he typically only gets to about 235 or 240. Just a big strong country boy genetically. Lifts consistently in the power lifting fashion for his entire life. But no real programing or structure. He goes in, lifts heavy weights, then leaves. Doesn't track anything, use any program, etc. Never has.

Probably. But TRT in itself doesn't make that big of a difference. Even if his testosterone started declining and he started pinning TRT. He'd still be at a disadvantage to guys his age that just has naturally high testosterone.

There is also a difference between a legitimate dose of TRT that puts you at about 700-800 ng/dl and a dose that puts you at 1500+ ng/dl. I've done both. On the first you feel relatively normal. On the other you certainly feel more 'enhanced'.

Many nonnatty guys will not ever hit a 500 lb bench, and not for lack of trying. So I will always assume someone benching 500lbs is not natty. Maybe I will be wrong 0.0001% of the time, but those are good odds

I never said that no one pre AAS could bench 405, just that 405 was the confirmed record, which still tells us something regardless of other variables involved. I know there are freaks, Ive seen plenty being involved in athletics, but excuse my skepticism when the only place these natty freak five plate benchers (who dont even train) seem to congregate is in anecdotes on the internet.

I dunno, I reckon if you took someone like Julius Maddox or Brian Shaw and trained them from birth they could still reach somewhere between 500 and 600lbs without any tech and bloatmaxxing.

it's NOT possible and there is absolutely no way of knowing what the guy in the video is "supplementing" with.

of course all the autistic morons and fake natties are going to be all over this thread saying "I know this guy or that guy" but it's not.

Maybe, but that is taking two of the strongest guys on earth as a sample. I already noted that a vastly increased sample size, better nutrition and modern training methods play a huge factor as well. I’m just trying to show that a five plate bench is a very, very improbable lift for a natty to be hitting, not impossible, but from a statistical standpoint it might as well be.

most naturals will blow their shoulder or elbow out before then. I know one natural who can bench 500+ and another working on it at 19 years old

oh ok, I agree that 5 plates is exceedingly rare among natties.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

5 plates RAW is rare PERIOD! Wish I could find the vids of the guy from the >35. I think he was closing in on a 600lb press. Like training in his basement....no one has ever even heard of him. Could walk in and own almost every lifting fed in the country and never competed a day in his life. Knew nothing about 'leg drive'. Never benched with chains or boards. Just gets under the weight and lifts it. Just crazy strong.

I think it’s possible. You might be on the bloat side obviously. If you train specifically for bench over the years, you will eventually hit it.
Been here since 2010. Lost my old account.

This was the guy from the >35. This was 4 years back. Here is a 585 vid

At this time he had never even ever competed. Looking through his YT chanel, he went on to do at least one comp in APF (dont know what div he was in)

565 went up easy for him at the meet. But you can get a better idea of his build. Just a big dude, built like a barrel. Strong as fuk

You are an absolute potato if you don't think these "kids" are not walking around with pins hanging out of their butt cheeks.

I graduated 20 years ago and half of the baseball team and nearly the whole football team was using. You don't think competitive lifters at the high school level are not because they're young?

Honestly, just GTFO with "muh natty". Most people that are setting records or are in impressive youtube videos are not. Stop getting a hardon over whether someone is or isn't. Who gives a fuk?

This guy almost got 525 and says he is natural. Im following him for some time now, and he seems like a genuine and honest guy. Also, his physique doesnt scream juice imo, just very good muscle insertions.

You can actually see how he warms up with 315; I think he'd be capable to get about 20 reps if he went all out. He's just got superb muscle fibers suited for heavy loads, which you can see in an OHP video of him in which he struggled to get 225 for 3 but easily smashed 270 for 1.
