The guy threw the first punch. Depending on what state you're in you get off with Self defense if they throw any type of offensive move towards you. The fact that he is using wrestling/judo makes it even better because someone literally has to come at you for it to work most effectively. His adrenaline was up and nerves out the window which leads to the continuous punching.
Also this is why I carry a knife or a weapon on me for group situations. just fkn lol thinking you're going to bruce lee your way out of a dog pile. Best to blade up and stab out. Still self defense.
a video came out where an MMA fighter(middle eastern) annihilated two or three dudes trying to rob or jump him and he was glorified on TV for it being self defense even got interviewed.
