Lactose Intolerance is largely a hoax (srs)
Bought into the fake news Lactose Intolerance bullsht a couple years back. Thought it was giving me skin issues. Completely cut out dairy for like 2 years even avoided things with minute traces like 'Modified Milk Ingredients'. After those 2 years my skin hadn't improved, in fact it got a bit worse. Said fukk it last month and started eating dairy again. Coconut cream pie, cheesecake, cereal w/ chocolate milk, sour cream, cheese, butter, whole milk etc. Just had a chicken and cream of mushroom casserole with chocolate milk to wash it down. My skin looks great, better than ever. No stomach pains, no gas at all.
I think LI is a hoax. Notice how non dairy milks exploded over the last few years? Almond milk, SOY, oat, coconut, rice milk etc. Back in my day almond milk didn't even exist. I think this is all BigSoy lobbying to stick it do dairy farmers.
What say you misc?

The lactose content in mozzarella cheese is miniscule. There's no lactose in pizza so youre not reacting to that.

Been thinking about this recently. I'm of the demographic that supposed to be the most lactose intolerant. I still drink whole milk, whey protein, and ice cream no fuarks given. Just a little gas but I'm honestly Gucci

if i drink a glass of milk or have any icecream, my guts start gurgling and it'll come squirting out of my ass in a couple of hours. whats weird though is when i was stationed in iceland, the local milk and icecream there didnt give me issues.

The same thing happens to vegetarians who go back to eating meat, they experience initial discomfort then it normalizes.

Not sure what that says about lactose intolerance, but here are some more data points.
Ice cream, yogurt, cheese, milk chocolate, and cream-based sauces all cause explosive diarrhea within about 3 hours of ingesting, and phlegm in my throat for about a day after ingesting.
Never had problems with any of those foods until my early 30's.
Of course, eggs also wreck me now too and I don't know how those got in the mix too, but they did.
I can eat small amounts of all of these things without these problems, but once I cross the Rubicon, there is no going back. I will need to be in the vicinity of a toilet, sooner rather than later.

Also, again my theory is this.
We are afraid of dairy as a gen pop. So we avoid it. Then we occasionally have it and we get. huge negative reaction and attribute it to dairy.
But if we went back to eating it every day it would be absolutely fine. If you slowly introduce dairy back to your diet I believe your body would grow accustomed to digesting it again.
Its a self fullfulling prophecy.
Fear of lactose intolerance > reducing dairy > inadvertently making yourself lactose intolerance cuz your body no longer digests it > wrongly confirms your original hypothesis.
I think to truly confirm LI. you need to eat diary everyday for like a month, and if you STILL have problems then you know.
I realized the first day or two of reintroducing lactose ei experienced pain and gas - but if you power past the first few days your body adjusts and goes back to having no issues

You just need to get your body enzymes re accustomed to digesting it. It took my 3 days of a glass of milk a day to get back to digesting without no issues.
Its like jumping into a pool. If you just dip your toe in it youre going to think its way too cold to swim in. but if you just fully jump in youll be alright after a couple seconds. LactoseIntolerantcels are afraid of the pool. Stay drinking soy on the sidelines boyos. While we milkmaxxers enjoy a nice swim.

I have lactose intolerance and it's definitely real.
Last time I had a few glasses of milk I literally thought I was gonna die and laid in bed whimpering all night, contemplating calling an ambulance.
I've had broken bones, torn rotator cuff, pulled hamstring (that was really painful), etc and none of them felt as bad as my stomach that night.

If you are of European descent than you are very unlikely to be Lactose Intolerant.
The ability to digest dairy is a recent mutation, a few thousand years old that originated in northern European/ eurasians
