Lifting heavy will result in injuries. I understand now why the most aesthetic guy at my gym doesn't lift very heavy.

I learned that I was doing way too much volume. I’m seeing way more gains lifting only 3 days a week than I did for the past 4 years.

The 8months i wasnt able to workout at a gym is what made me realize what i said in my post.

Everyone looks exactly the same.

"Functional fitness" is taking over the gym. Bodybuilders are becoming a minority. The feminization of gym culture is happening, soon I'll be relegated to train strictly at home.

3 sets of flat

3 sets of incline

3 sets of pushdowns

done

no need to fuk around after that

depressing and inspiring all at the same time

I can go to the first gym I ever joined 6 years ago and see people I used to be jealous of and we don't even compare any more. Whats depressing to me is the <25 year old crowd that I can tell bust their nuts but see 0 results and will look the same tomorrow as they did 6 months ago. The physical effort is there but the mental isn't

You have to accept injuries if you ever want to see how strong your genetics will allow. I have only injury I regret, but moderate wear and tear is worth it - especially muscle memory since it's so easy to get back up to size.

This. Had to stop the OCD chit of going to the gym 6 days a week during bulking cycles.

If you've built up a decent physique and you want to take it easy with the diet and training, it's really simple to 'maintain.' I'm finally giving this a try after 10 years of consistent and intense training. I made plans to try it in the past but it always ended up in some kind of gain/cut cycle. This time I've stuck to it since June.

I do a PPL routine, 3x a week, 35-40min per weight routine with daily hikes in the mountains with my dog and soccer games with her and I personally think I've never looked better. I finished a cut in June and capitalized on the leanest iteration of my physique yet and just maintained that level of body fat and most likely added on a few extra ounces of mass and filled up my glycogen stores, so I look really full yet not 'bloated' if that makes sense.

Heading into a different phase in life and I now live quite far away from commercial gyms and train in my garage dungeon I've put together so this is actually working much better than I thought.

Edit: people have posted above similar knowledge acquisition so I guess I'm not the only one. I don't think there's really a point to train 6x a week as a natty.

1. I can do everything I want with a simple half-rack, barbell, weights, 4 adjustable dumbbells. Homegym can be relatively cheap and small but effective.
2. Lifting in pre-planned cycles of 6 weeks where I slowly ramp up the weights/reps, has helped me easily break through several plateau's.
3. Excessive cardio is not good for gains.

after lifting, i used to walk outside for 2 hours and do 7 miles for my cardio. now i just do 15 minutes on the cardio machines and i'm done. aesthetics is 99% diet and lifting. walking for 2 hours and 7 miles every day was overkill. it freed up so much time - now i can f**k off at the beach or pool all afternoon.

Workout
Daily - 7 Days/Week
1. Flat Bench Dumbbell Press - 50s - 3x12
2. Standing Alternating Dumbbell Curls - 25s - 3x12
3. Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes - 50s - 3x12
4. Pull-Ups - 3x12
5. Captain's Chair Knee Raises - 3x12
6. Stairmill - Level 7 - 7.5 Minutes
7. Treadmill - 15 Incline - 3.5 mph - 7.5 Minutes

Realizing you're heading into a different phase of life and adjusting your workout routine is goated.

Not saying you cant go balls to the wall.

Example, I finally started addressing all of my minor injuries like tendonitis in my knees and elbows. Created a workout plan that added some exercises to help repair the damage.

I still squat, deadlift bench. I don't think I'll ever put the numbers up like I could but tbh I'm actually getting closer now that I've fixed my injuries. Andnow I'm doing it with minimal to zero pain.

I thought getting older would suck but it's actually pretty nice if you take care of yourself.

Feeling each and every rep in the targeted muscle.

It Will give you more gains at a 2lbs increase than a 10lbs Increase in body weight.

Same while cutting help y retain more without dropping weight too much and still look cut

That training for asthetics or trying to get big or taking gear for asthetics and most gym people are all mentally ill and that it’s all a waste of time in the grand scheme of things

L-citrulline..... never used preworkout in my life. so i never heard of this. I bought a bag for like $20 like a month ago.... and jesus christ the energy from just L-citrulline in insane, i've been missing out. i'm confused cause it's not caffeine.

eating like youre trying to be 300 pounds but doing 40 -60 minutes of low impact cardio everyday

walking on the incline treadmill 15 minutes before the workout and 30-45 minutes after

heart rate varies between 160 -120 .

keep most of you calories for after your workouts. dont emphasize carbs before, the goal is to cut 1- 1.50 hour a day and bulk the rest.

he does this every single day
