Anyone have a Herman Miller Eames Chair Replica? (No CEOs)

Looking for recommendations on one of those fake Herman Miller Eames chairs. Anybody have a good experience with any of them? Absolutely love the aesthetic, but couldn't possibly justify spending over $5,000 on a lounge chair. Trying to figure out if the $600-700 Chinesium is significantly worse than the $1000-1400 Chinesium.

Really wish somebody would list a replica on Craigslist so I could snag one for like $250. At that price I wouldn't even care if it was usable as furniture.

If you can't get a real Eames chair just get an Eames splint in your office and hang it.

Check out 1stdibs for a Eames Replica Chair tho.

Probably a $20,000 splint.

Trying to find the right keyword on this site to show me options that aren't over $4000.

Yeah let me get right on trying to be in possession of that ugly piece of ****. It looks like a sunbathing chair that is trying to anally rape the user.

The splint you can find for probably $1200 - 1400 srs. I've considered buying one.

Also Eames Lounge chairs are great but there are other cool lounge chairs out but I understand why you want the Eames. It's classic.

I bought a legit rep for $400 some years ago on eBay. It was brand new in box minimal assembly, real leather and wood etc, shipped from Cali (read: China) and looked very good for the price. I later sold it for $600 when I moved out, lmao.

My problem is that it was too short, I'll buy a real Eames Lounge chair (Tall version cuz no manlet hehe) but they run $5kish, prob end of year as a lil treat for myself since I'll keep it forever I think it's money well spent.

It's going to tie my room design together better than Lebowski's rug. I'm playing off a theme of light tan leather, white, and gray furniture and contrast pieces. The light colored wood with the white leather Eames is the thing that is going to make it happen. But I won't spend $1 over 3 grand on an authentic and it seems they can't be had for that anymore unless you get lucky with someone who doesn't know what they have.

Manlet crew. Good to know that you were satisfied with the cheapest of the Chinesium, that is my lean right now. My gut feel is that it isn't wise to start playing around with $1200 Chinese furniture.

I think it really depends on your height, body type, weight etc. I would go and test one out before buying if I was you.
Furniture is personal to everyone and it does make sense to test it whenever possible. In this case it really is more of a decoration than anything else, with the functionality being more of a bonus. My full time work from home chair is a genuine Herman Miller Aeron and I have no complaints with it.

When you say you had one, do you mean the poverty replicas I'm referring to or the real deal?

Nobody gives a fuk about Eames. LC4 mogs that chair in every way, the Eames isn't even adjustable JFL.

CEOs tend to have the LC4, not Eames.

I meant the real deal and I also meant the aeron, hence my comment delete after rereading the OP properly. My bad, I was watching some Russians cook an Ostrich on youtube so I wasn't paying attention lmao.

Leave it to the misc to be too cool for one of the most aesthetic designs ever created. Even the fake Eames aren't kicking around everywhere. I don't think most people under 40 would even have any idea what it is, that's not the point. You have a better looking mid-century themed lounge chair ottoman combination that comes in white leather with light wood base for contrast?

You know what is cookie cutter? A giant pillowbacked ultradeep fabric sectional where your feet don't even touch the ground with gigantic rectangular design that falls apart in three years.

Well I'm looking for the Kia/Armaf Club De Nuit Intense/Smirnoff/Galaxy S3/Hugo Boss of mid century lounge chairs in that case.

The likelihood of anyone coming into contact with my living room possessions to do anything other than get high and maybe watch a ball game are pretty slim. This isn't a status thing in the slightest.

That second one is actually kind of cool if it was more than 3" off the ground. Unfortunately I loathe the French and their unearned elitism.

It's one of those stupid things where they keep increasing the price every year or two, and the used market doesn't actually lose much if any value over time. It would probably be cheaper to own the real thing for five years and sell it then it is to buy the stupid Chinese version, but it's just not an outlay I'm looking to make or a second hand transaction I want to be a part of.
