Need to purchase item with CC, but send to non-billing address

I have an issue that some miscers may have had to deal with before. I need to make a large holiday purchase that I want to send to another address. The vendor requires credit purchases' shipping and billing addresses to match. I do not have time to wait for a transfer from my investment account as this item is custom ordered and will be unavailable shortly. I need to purchase this with a credit card but do not know how to get past the address issue. Can you load a cash debit card from a credit card?

You can buy those preloaded creditcards with a balance. Although they don't have an address on them.
I'm not a fan of them since they charge around $3 a month as long as there is a balance on it and you never know what site accepts them or not.
But it's an option to use.

Can't you just have it shipped to your address and then pay for shipping to send it to the other address? Sure it might cost you a little extra but then the problem is solved.

That is the other part of this. I don't know when the item will ship and I don't know where I'll be. (we're looking at houses)

That's a retarded policy so I'd just get them on the phone and explain the situation. They don't want to lose your business so they'll ship it where you tell them.

Lastly, you could always change your credit card address to where you want it shipped.

I can literally go in and change mine and it's updated within a day or two. Personally calling them should fix it, but as a last resort just update your CC address.

This happened tome when I bought tickets to ultra in Miami. I had moved but they needed the billing and shipping address to match the CC.

Luckily I still knew a guy who was at my old address so I picked it up.

I think once it ships, you can call the shipper to have them route it differently

They only really check the billing zip code, not the entire address, not that that helps much but that is why the card declines when you enter in the wrong address.


You could change your credit card billing address on the credit card's site to any address in that zip code youre trying to ship to and then write whatever address you want when youre ordering and it would go through as long as the zip code matches what your credit card has on file.
