Systematic racism or affirmative action?

As an immigrant that moved to land of opportunities few years ago, I have worked so hard to learn english and get into a good college. As pre med student all i hear about as how minority groups (born in America) can easily get into medical school with basically 3.0 gpa and score a low mcat score(which i probably could score in high school) can go to medical school and become doctors making a salary not comparable to 99% of the world. You basically have to be literate and your a doctor few years down the road.
I qualify as a white male so of course I have to work 100x times harder to reach that level of success and get into a medical school. The argument against affirmative action is for another day but it boggles my mind when i hear about systematic racism in America. Can anyone explain to me how it exist in America and why it was such a big deal to go against American values in this election?

No, people don't easily get into med school with 3.00 GPA.
The very few people that get into med school with low GPAs have other "redeeming qualities" such as strong EC or research experience with publications.

Some people might have thousands of hours of volunteering.

The fact still remains that black people make less than 5% of physicians. So it's not like they're taking someone's spot. Many med schools only have 1-3 black male students.
