Tradie jobs are actually not bad, but I'd go nuts as a window washer. One of the major benefits of being a tradie is being around a bunch of fun like-minded guys, and being an isolated tradie isn't the way to go. Too much time to think.

When I was in the tradie, I dreaded going to work 1000% percent more than I do now as an ITcel.

Sitting in an office (or at home) in front of a screen all day phucking sucks bawls but JFL if you think physical labor for years on end with a bunch of degenerate tradies (tradies can confirm the level of scumbaggery on every team) for 8-10 hours a day is better ded srs.

I also hated doing tradie work for the 3-4 various years I did it, but some guys absolutely love that chit. These are probably the same guys who excel in the military. It is nice to be away from the degeneracy though, as being around that all the time eventually starts to seep into your psyche.

I said I was a tradie myself. I don't hate on tradies by any means.

I don't think the trades are much like the military man but I kind of see your point. I love, btw, working with my hands and doing physical labor-- you don't really get to scratch that itch in the trades though.

You probably just don't enjoy working with your hands. Most of my male friends, tradie or not, go home after work and work with their hands. Most of my Male friends come to either help or watch other men work with their hands and bs with each other. Not for everyone, not hating, but not everyone feels the same as you, or feels the same as me either.
