Got about two and half minutes in and this sounds like pure bullchit.

Tuned out at the part where he claimed that doing supersets of bench and chin-ups makes you gain muscle twice as fast.

Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

Idk, there's a vid of George Leeman curling 225x15. So it's possible Arnie could have done that, probably not though.

There might actually be a little science behind that.

There is a reflex action, where if you do an exercise, if you do its opposite immediately after the opposite will be a stronger than normal lift.

Didn't he say he trained like 4-5 hours a day? Dude exaggerated a bunch of chit about his life. Reality was probably hour, hour and a half then they would do orgies and smoke some herbs for the rest of the day.

2 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night. Only 3 days a week. Not that hard to do. Considering he'd just train legs in the morning and be fresh for chest+back at night.
I can lift 2 hours myself as a natty if needed. Although i finish before 90 minutes.

Because I have a program I'm working on right now brah. If I see evidence that shows that I ought to rewrite that program, I am all ears. Until then, a known OJ fan espousing his "training plan" for "intense gains" isn't going to convince me to train like him even if it's Arnie (whom I deeply admire).

There is a lot of studies in Postactivation Potentiation. A lot of times its about injury recovery, but they have done other studies and effects in strength and muscle activation

2 hours is stretching it and it's only half of 4 hours. Plus he was on cell tech there's absolutely no need to kill yourself so long. If you're training hard, you will destroy your muscles working them so much.

Maybe he hung out in the gym that long with his buddies after a session. But training? No way. Dude has exaggerated a ton of his stories.

In other news Mike O' Hearn is 100% natty. This is like when Ronnie Coleman claimed less than 1% bodyfat.
“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Like i said, if you train legs only in the morning. and back+chest at night, it will simply feel as 1 work out.
It won't drain you. You can even do this as a natty.

Second, say you work out 90 minutes on heavy lifting and spend 30 minutes on abs. Where's the confusion?
And sure, maybe you don't need to work that hard. But Arnold stated that massive volume worked for him best.
He and franco both had insane training routines. Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you.
But working out twice in one day especially on tech, is really nothing special.

But yes he did exaggerate plenty of stories. Personally i don't think his lifting routine is one of them.

I tried this routine myself (but slightly modified since i didn't want to go to the gym twice a day just for legs)
And the routine worked wonders. And i'm natural. Never over trained.
So him doing the same routine but with extra legs, and on tech. It's definitely no over training.

The whole purpose of building muscle is to ''destroy'' your muscles and then give them the right amount of rest + nutrition.

Skimmed some of the literature. Interesting. but I can't say I'm convinced. Will try it out myself at some point anyway just because I like the idea conceptually.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3164001/
Researchers tested whether a five-repetition maximum (5-RM squat) both induced PAP and increased height of subsequently performed counter-movement jumps (CMJ). Subjects did five sets of CMJ both before and four minutes after one set of barbell back squats done with a 5-RM. Researchers observed a 2.9% increase in CMJ height four minutes after a 5-RM squat. This increase in CMJ was a significant enhancement of jump performance. These authors were the first to test the assumption that a weight lifting exercise induces PAP. Ultimately, the researchers concluded that PAP may have contributed to the increase in CMJ height, but the correlation between the magnitude of PAP and the percentage increase in CMJ height was not significant.

You and i are using destroy in totally different ways. By destroy I mean injure yourself. There's a point of diminishing returns and a limit your body could take before you do more harm than good.

Arnold claimed he trained for 5 hours a day, 6 days per week. So 30 hours per week. That's beyond overkill, come on dawg. You believe he embellished a bunch of his stories but when it comes to his training routines you think there's no way he would lie?

I 100% believe it. The guy was doing chit tons of curls before any bro decided it was aesthetic. All of his programs are dozens of sets of curls.

I do not doubt it for a second. Arnold was fukking strong m8.

I don't have the quote of him stating that. I simply know that his apparent routine was like this.

Monday morning: legs.
Monday night: chest & back.

Tuesday: shoulders and arms (bis/tris/forearms)

Wednesday morning: legs
Wednesday night: chest & back.

Thursday: shoulders and arms.

Friday morning: Legs
Friday night: chest & back.

Saturday: Shoulders and arms.

This routine allows 48 hours of rest before you hit the same muscle group directly.
And hitting your muscles 3x a week is not overtraining since i do it as a natty.
Now if you look at this routine, the only time he's lifting 4 hours a day, is on the day he goes to the gym twice a week.

If he's claiming 5 hours a day, every day. That seems like an exaggeration to me. That's only possible if you lift twice a day every day.
And then you'll have to reduce the muscle resting period (although on tech this seems possible)
All i can say is the routine he recommends in his book are amazing, even for the natty lifter.
(there are several routines, from beginner to advanced)
