The problem with dating apps is the competition is just too fierce because guys try way too hard. We have incels hiring professional photographers and sending "funny" messages and PAYING for premium services like Tinder Gold. The average man is a ****ing pathetic cuck.

Absolutely rattled that multiple people in this thread have hired professional photographers for the express purpose of an online dating profile.

Nothing screams "candid" like a high-res photo of you deep in thought on a park bench in autumn.

Hiring photographers is obviously dumb but paying for Gold isn't actually a bad idea for non-Chads.

If Tinder is your main way of dating, then you're probably saving money even with Gold by not going to a club, paying the ticket price, paying for drinks, etc.

The other thing -- and I don't know if this is true anymore as it's been a couple years since I've had it -- is that there were a bunch of times where I saw a girl that had swiped on me through Gold who I hadn't seen before. These were girls I would've 100% swiped right on but they just didn't come up in my feed until Gold pointed them out.

Might be part of some scammy algorithm, idk, but it's not all bad.

An acquantance of mine (Asian and brown so diffuculty level high, zero responses) did this. Ended up getting various dates and is now married. I think he used Hinge though or some other dating site. U do what u gotta do.

Candid photos are nice but high resolution professional photos are weird. It's not going to make a difference if you're ugly lmao. I personally swipe left on anyone who has a professional photo on their dating profile.

women want a guy with a certain lifestyle. its really not about the quality of the photos. They want to see you partying in the bougie parts of the city like UES/Manhattan in New York for example. Its a low-key way for them to gauge how much money you make.
