Car sales. This was an old school dealership, bunch of old heads on a gravy train. They managed with intimidation and fear.

One manager had an "alter ego" everyone joked about. "Bad John." When he got angry enough, at something you did, he would literally yell at you like a child. Only happened when I was newer, and getting trained. All the ****ing managers would haze the new guys. Basically grow thick skin, and fit in, or send you out the door.

People don't quit bad jobs, they quit bad managers.

First job out of school, first major project. Doing up reports for the project manager, threw in one wrong number and told him about it after he had submitted it

Comes out, slams his fist hard af down on the filing cabinet "I'm not here to look like a FUKKING IDIOT" and went on for a bit. But he was testing me and trying to thicken up my skin

in tradie culture its a sign of respect. If people call them boss instead of their first name they respect them for paying their dues and for being competent.

I work at a bank as a teller, and with little banking experience, I know it's going to be difficult to move up. I started on Monday of last week, and walked right into the Branch manager's office, his name is Kevin. He's about 5'6, fat, bald, a fukkin manlet of course.

I say, "Kevin, I know I haven't worked here for very long, but I'm committed to this job, and want you to know if there's anyway I can prove myself, I'm ready and willing."

He responded by telling me he appreciated my commitment, and that I could prove myself by doing the best I could in my position.

I said "fuk that, I'm gonna fuk you like the little dirty manlet you are"

So I grabbed him by the tie and shoved him back against the wall, tongue kissing him passionately like he was my own Dad. I made him suck me off in front of 5 or 6 customers, who watched on in awe and horror.

I heard one of them say "is that a fukking manlet sucking that 5'11 alpha off?"

I said, "Yeah, I'm the new manager guys"

Had a couple of old school bosses for 6 months, co-owners and were also half brothers. One was a huge drunk and whenever he'd show up, he'd be blasted by 10AM and would basically pick either his brother or me to more or less berate for an hour or so. There was no use in arguing back, dude was just a prick. Would be surprised if he was still alive.

Classic misc style post.

Would read to grandchildren

Cheers
"The manlet is a savage beast that knows no moral bound. After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. They are ruthless and you need to spend some more time in the gutter to even begin trying to comprehend what goes on in their minds."

When I was a rookie cop in my early 20’s, my captain chewed my ass out for something my field training officer told me to do. My captain later apologized to me.

Yeah, used to get into it with this dude that was my boss when I used to work in a mexican restaurant. Dude was the owners nephew but had no balls, old ladies would rule that place and they would yell at him when orders they had to put in were wrong. Dude would take it. Same ladies would always be trash to every coworker and if called out the nephew would defend them (srs) So there were times I would call him out on that **** if I was the one affected. Happened many times and even once got into it with the main owner telling her the nephew needed to be replaced because he wasn't worth **** in there lol

Thinking back that place was so dysfunctional i'm so glad i'm out of there srs

Yeah this POS yelled at me and a coworker once. He just kept getting mad cuz we didnt organize some boxes properly. Awkward when he just responds by standing and yelling at you while the coworker and I just get more confused and try to speed it up not making the orginizing any better at all

Did see one of the directors spark out a consultant on a night out, was a nice hook as well.

Not since I worked at McDonald's as a teenager. The management there regularly shouted at basic employees as they were mostly inexperienced youngsters who didn't really know how to stand up for themselves and were easy to push around. There was one store owner who just seemed to keep order with aggro and shouting, he was a straight up bully.

Never been yelled at since. I've been disciplined, spoken to, and even fired...but no-one lost their temper or raised their voice.

Yes, by a female boss.

the female boss was the scariest thing because she acted as if i was doing the most illegal thing in history. I was clocked out but was stayed a bit longer in the break room talking to another employee on their lunch break. She stormed into the backroom busting the door open screaming at the top of her lungs "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU ARE NOT ON THE CLOCK, IT IS AGAINST OSHA FOR YOU TO BE BACK HERE"

It was just an awkward silence after that, I just walked up and left. I'm pretty sure she was on her period or something because the very next day she acted like nothing happened.

retail is the most cancerous job in the world. you work with many types of people, all crazy.

The favorite time I've gotten yelled at was from when I first met a boss, he was on the phone with my other boss. He was in a bad mood and wanted me to do something.

He said if I fuked it up he was going to go down to home depot and find 3 Mexican Americans to beat my ass and fill the rest of the truck with black dudes.

I rephrased that so it wasn't so racist, I thought it was funny as fuk.
